Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our eye caught this lovely cafe when we were passing through Thomastown. We called in for sandwich and cuppa. Beautiful food and great value for money. Worth a visit. Staff so friendly and helpful.

Dropped in this morning with my wife for an early lunch with our 1 year old child. Place looked nice and not too busy. We ordered our lunches and asked for a slice of toast for our child. Initially this was accepted. Very friendly waiter...came back soom after our order to say that wouldn't be possible. Asked could we even get a slice of bread for him but this was also not possible. Bread and toast were served as part of lunches on the menu but clearly the message from the boss behind the counter was not to show any flexibility for a child. We enquired about a scone but they were sold out. We would of happily paid what they wanted to charge for the bread. He was starving so had to eat our lunches quickly and find a more accomdating place down the street where we could feed him. Very bizarre experience really. Luckily thomastown has other options. Certainly won't be back and will pass on our experience to other friends in the area.More

Stopped for coffee, juice, & scone to break a journey. Really good quality at a really good price, with v good & friendly service. The home-made raspberry jam was a highlight. Didn’t try the cakes but they looked v tempting, so will be back to...try them when we are passing next time. The loo is fine too. Delightful place. Recommended.More

Enjoyed the lovely selection of food and lovely location. We've often stopped in for lunch and always treated so good. Sad to hear Catriona had left and very noticeable. Still a lovely spot to chill at

We came here four years ago and this cafe was very good. It is now excellent. It is just a pity it is not a little larger but that might spoil the ambience. The menu is large and appealing and all sandwiches, wraps and panini...are made fresh whilst you wait. Cakes, scones, apple pies or whatever you choose look brilliant but tase even better. The cafe is clean, homely and well staffed with the friendliest of people. A must to anyone who comes to Thomastown.More

We has a soup and a Panini combo, and we were a bit disappointed. We must say that t'he qualitat of It was good, but with a bit of Salas It would change the way It looked, bc gir nearly 11€, It was a bit...poor. But we say again, we appreciatw quality. The staff was ok, but this kind of staff that they know their business goes very well, and there is no need to be necesseraly nice.More

Some of the best scones in Ireland! And the waitresses were wonderful. One of the older ladies behind the counter was a little gruff but i think that was just her personality. (Irish charm) We had a great breakfast and a nice visit with a...couple of other customers. Would love to have another breakfast there!!!More
