An Irish friend of ours recommended The Blackberry Cafe to us as we are on holiday from the US. This is just our type of eatery: high quality, local, organic food. It definitely deserves its many Bridgestone awards which decorate the doorway. The soup and sandwiches we ordered were delish and the cup of coffee of a very high standard.... More

We found the " Blackberry" by accident and it was a terrific find. My Wife had Quiche and salad and I had a toasted special of ham, cheese, onion and tomato. The sandwich was exceptional with bread that was deliciously tasty. I assume that the bread was homemade, as it ranks with the nicest bread, that I have ever enjoyed.... More

My family and I visited this cafe today for lunch. I choose the location as I had been there once before and loved the food. OMG today was just awful, my father who has dementia and is on a zimmer frame was with us. We took him and my mother out for lunch to give my mother a break as... More

My family and I enjoyed a beautiful lunch at this charming cafe. The sandwiches are seriously good! Farm fresh ingredients coupled with the most important part of a sandwich... fresh baked bread made for a real nice treat! My wife and kids enjoyed their food as well, so the Blackberry was a hit all the way around, a true rarity... More

Saturday morning coffee and lovely fresh fruit scones with jam and cream. Busy little spot, staff very friendly and quick too. A pleasure to enjoy.

Our lunch was great - a fantastic Italian panini with juicy sundried tomatoes, tender chicken and lovely pesto. The soup was chunky with fab dark bread. Four stars! Friendly enough service. We were so delighted we bought scones to take away. They were so disappointing - think perhaps someone forgot the sugar? The jam was brilliant though.

The outside looks delightful, flowers, hand painted signage with a beautiful blackberry metalwork sculpture on the outside. However. It is so tiny you can hear the people on the next table breathing. A handful of uncomfortable chairs and tables. Basic little sandwich bar with bland soup. Like being inside a train station waiting room with porcelain cups and saucers. I... More

Nice cozy shop in middle of Thomastown. Food and service were good. We'd avoid the vegetable soup next time. It was puréed and bland. Otherwise recommended.
