We discovered by chance waiting for spike island tour. My friend is lactose intolerant and the lady was very accommodating and wanting to understand, the salad was adapted to meet her needs and so was the stew. I had the melt in your mouth goats cheese and chicken, bacon tagliatelle omg it was delicious, but I couldn't finish it. The... More

We booked a table for 6 last Saturday night. Service was friendly and prompt. Our meals were all beautiful nothing could have been faulted. It was good value too. We had a really pleasant evening and didn't feel rushed even if we were the last to leave. So glad we booked here.

We chose Gilberts as we were looking for something quick to eat and the place we wanted to go to was full at the time. When we first looked at the menu, it appeared quite limited, however that's not a bad thing as the food we order was delicious. The bar prices though are a it expensive, but the service... More

I went here because a couple of people recommended it. I had prawns for starter and fish for main, they came out in record time and didn't taste very nice, I think they had been sitting in the kitchen for a while. There was very few people in the restaurant so the atmosphere wasn't great. I won't be going back.

We visited this restaurant last week and found it to be a bit pricey for what you get. My husband just ordered a main course and his was fine and I only ordered a starter of Chowder. This was supposed to come with brown bread but they had none (despite a supermarket which was still open just around the corner).... More

We were here with our kids but i noticed there were rooms available to stay in. Its located right in the middle of Cobh and the food was excellent with decent portions that left me satisfied. A Cobh must eat I reckon.

After visiting the Heritage Center we stopped in for lunch and both had the fish and chips. The service was excellent and food was tasty. It was even served with a small green salad.
