Fantastic staff, with great food and drink.

I need to start by saying, the staff at the Quays are fantastic. The bar itself in what you would expect from a good Irish bar, clean, bright in inviting. The food is as good as you will get in the best Irish bars and the Guinness was like nectar but the staff are what makes this place so good. We called in by chance one evening and they could fit us in for dinner and with the food, drink and staff so good we booked again for that Friday night. It was explained to us it was fish and chips Friday which was a €9 meal, fish, chicken or sausage and chips. What a great idea we both had the fish and chips and it was served in paper like a chipper would. It was a great idea with tourists and locals embracing it. I would like to thank all the staff for your great service and making us feel so welcome.

Food was incredible

Ended up going here as our first choice was booked out, so happy this was the case as we got the nicest meal we've had, tastier food than any fine dining restaurant we've been to. Would recommend this place to anyone. The only drawback was that we couldn't go there on our second night in Bantry as they only serve fish dinners on a Friday and unfortunately, I don't particularly like fish.

Staycation Dinner On A Rainy Night

Just back from a rather lovely evening meal at the Quays. It was a wet and miserable evening and we (2 adults and 2 children) were warmly welcomed by the staff despite having no reservation. The seafood chowder was amongst the best we have had on our trip to West Cork and the plaice was simply delicious!! If I had a criticism it would only be that our portions were on the large side. Covid controls were really good and we felt safe and very happy during our stay. I would really recommend this spot for a family meal.

Great find

We came upon this place purely by chance we are staying in bantry for a few days and just took a stroll around to investigate the place and book an evening meal. Luckily we popped in to The Quays for a look and met a very welcoming lady called Avril who was writing up the menu board. She was very nice and helpful and that's why we booked. The food was excellent and the place feels very clean and safe. We will definitely be returning here.

Lovely lunch during a recent trip to Bantry. Staff were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. They did half portions for children, which is always a winner with me. Kids got the roast beef and spaghetti bolognese, which they loved. Not much options for vegetarians but fairly broad menu otherwise.

Excellent food and service

We went for a meal here tonight and had a great evening. There is plenty choice and the food was excellent. All staff were a pleasure to deal with. The restaurant is also applying the Covid19 guidelines extremely well. Looking forward to returning when next in Bantry.

Worth a visit to the Quay

Richard (Paco) is a wonderful owner/ bartender. I noticed the clientele was all addressed by name and, even though we are from out of town, we were made to feel at home. Great conversation and service. Give it a try if you’re in the area! His espresso martinis are as good as the draught beer.

Quick lunch

We stopped here for a quick bite before a hospital appointment and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, so fresh and tasty. The staff were super friendly and accommodating and the price was better than expected. We will be back again I'm sure

Lovely food and staff

Could not fault this place. Food cooked to order, fresh and plenty of it. All the waitresses that served us were as nice as each other, and very patient with our children. We had such a lovely evening meal here- and we almost walked past it! I’m so glad we didn’t. Would definitely recommend.

Dinner with sunset and "on the menu"

Dinner with sunset... we manage to dine outside and it is May 24th.... Fish & chips very good especially the fish with a cloud batter. You eat from the menu without dishes but it's really intriguing!! 3 dishes 3 on the menu but worth it for a decidedly informal dinner. Try it!!!

Such a Friendly Place

I had a lovely lunch outdoors in The Quays today. The most striking thin was the friendliness of both the barman abd the waitress. Talk about making me feel welcome. Really nice food, I had the homemade chicken goujons, abd very reasonable prices. I'd definitely eat here again, that's all you need to know really.

A jewel in the crown of eateries in Bantry. Wholesome food at very competitive prices. Served by excellent staff with a smile and plenty of local chat. I cannot recommend the Quays highly enough....will be back 🙂

Good pub grub

Just walked in off the street and were greeted by a lovely lady. She was very nice to the kids and helped change their order to suit their needs. I had the fish and chips, was the nicest I had in Cork that week. Big lump of Haddock and very nice chips. Daughter had a curry and loved it. Nice atmosphere in the pub aswell and reasonably priced. I will go back when next in town.

Bring in this wonderful pub restaurant 5 times over the past month. My partner works in bantry. The staff are so helpful and kind. It’s been such a stressful time but they could not have been more helpful and supportive and despite their great covid measures. They make it comfortable . I cannot imagine how difficult it is for them and they do it all with a smile. 😎❤️

Great spot by the water!

Absolutely great spot right by the water in Bantry! Delicious food with great portion sizes. Also great atmosphere for watching any live sports. Highly recommended for lunch or a full evening out. Staff are very friendly too 👍🏻
