Over the past few years we have had the pleasure to eat at 'The Snug' at least once on each of our annual visits to West Cork. This restaurant has all the ingredients to encourage repeat business (no wonder it is always so popular); there is always a great welcome upon arrival, the staff are consistently friendly and accommodating, the... We stayed in Bantry for the weekend and called in here for dinner on the Saturday evening. We ordered steaks ( medium & well done) and kids roast chicken dinner. Place was busy but service was quick and polite. Steak was a chunky, beautifully seasoned sirloin with plenty of fried onions, chips and pepper sauce. Guinness was one of the... More

Great service and friendly staff. Food is just so fresh and beautifully presented. If a group of you are planning on going might be advisable to book ahead as its always busy - good sign.

Arrived with my family of 4 and was seated immediately at one of the tables with the tree sprouting in the middle. The pub itself is small, but cosy with good decor. Food was excellent and the menu caters for all palates!

A lovely little bar, the smell of food was amazing and the menu looked great. Plenty of fresh fish and roast dishes... The decor is oldskool but really nice to sit in. The Guinness was excellent too which is the main thing! Right spot...

I have often had lunch in this pub, but it was only recently that I was in Bantry and wanted an evening meal. It was an experience, the steak was cooked exactly to my liking and it was exceptional. The portion was big and when served with vegetables it was great value. As ever food here is served piping hot... More

We visited Bantry while attending a Family wedding at the end of January. We had checked out Tripadvisor reviews and this place came up with lots of excellent reviews so decided to wander in. It was a Mid week at 6pm so no problem of a table for 6. We did not feel rushed in any way, staff were really... More
