We stopped off here for a cheeky fish and chips, expectations werent to high when we entered but my God the quality of the haddock and hand cut chips, mushy peas and a side salad for less than 12 euro. My daughter had Garlic and cheese chips that were amazing. We ate in 2 restraunts in 3 days on our west cork holiday but the quality in the bay diner far outshone them.. Do not miss this gem

We have been eating here for years when we go to the local cinema. Over the years it has changed hands, and we have been more than happy with the food and service. However this latest occasion the food was served in takeaway cartons at the table with plastic knives and forks instead of on proper plates and with proper knives and forks. The food was mediocre and dripping in mayo. This was not the enjoyable meal we have come to enjoy for the very odd occasion we visit. I hope it was a one off but seeing the amount of takeaway packaging in the background I think not.

My partner and I dined here last night. Food was good but adherence to Covid 19 food serving regulations was a big fat ZERO.
There was a Perspex panel at the counter where we ordered and we asked if we could eat at the tables there snd the gentleman said we could.
However we were dismayed when the waitress brought our food. She wore neither a face mask or face shield. Upon me enquiring as to the whereabouts of either she said she had only worked there a week and was unaware that she should do so.
The man who had taken our order came out wearing a face mask (hurrah!) and asked that we give our name and number on a notebook for tracing.
I can’t say this gives me much confidence either as it was an old diary and the page open on which we were to register our details was January 5th, 2020.

Spotlessly clean, 2 freshly battered (right in front of me) fish suppers cant ask for anything else, food was top quality with proper chips

Staff were very friendly. The chicken fillet burger was nice but the chips weren't great. We wanted cod and chips but they only had haddock. Tried to order the cod bites which were on their menu board but they didn't have them as it was haddock day.

Great value for fabulous fish and chips. We enjoyed eating at Bay Diner. The food was very good, easy to order, and fast service. We got the fish & chips and coleslaw. The food was delicious and big portions! We were able to get a quick meal, enjoy our food.
