I enjoyed one of the tastiest lunches I had this Summer in the sunshine. I will remember that sourdough, mushrooms, spinach & egg for along time. It will be first on my list on a return visit to Skibbereen.

Dropped in for takeaway coffee and custard and strawberry pastry. Pleasantly surprised to taste homemade custard and pastry. Absolutely unreal !

We stopped off here for lunch yesterday and it was honestly the best meal I’ve had in ages. The chicken melt sandwich was so delicious and had a touch of class the way it was done. It really stood out from your average cafe. The...homemade brown bread was to die for. The pastries were amazing as well. We got the lemon meringue and the white choc and raspberry. Both superb, so light and delicious. The three fools coffee was lovely as well.More

Lively lunch of goats cheese salad with Apple. Very tasty and nice coffee. Good vegetarian bean burrito that my comrade had. We shared a white chocolate and raspberry Hartley. The pastry case seemed 'bought in', but I could be wrong. I wish I'd opted for...the lemon tart. Seating just ordinary. Street side cafe. Would visit it again for a tasty convenient lunch with quick service.More

Went here for lunch & dessert/coffee recently. It was absolutely delicious! It never disappoints... Standard is always top class. Service good. And those white chocolate & raspberry tarts are the best! Highly recommend!

Can't praise the food here highly enough. It's delicious and home made and is of a very high standard. Quiche and any cakes and desserts are to die for.

Enjoyed a lunch here. I had crab salad (c. Eu12). Came with lots of mixed green salad - would have liked a few more tomatoes, or peppers, fewer leaves. Sweet gerkins/cucumbers were good. If I remember correctly, salad was supposed to be served with avocado...mayonnaise but I didn't taste avocados in the mayonnaise. My sister had small chilli con carne which she loved. We shared an apple and blackberry crumble - good, but pastry a bit dry. Friendly staff, good atmosphere. Would recommend.More

We have been coming to Kalbos for 15 years and Siobhan’s cooking is totally reliable and we look forward to going there every time. The cafe is spotlessly clean, busy and buzzy. The food is simply delicious, freshly prepared local food at its best. The...coffee is the best in town. The cakes are a work of art and the chocolate brownies are so good they are addictive. Get there early in summer or you won’t get a seat.More
