Fantastic food really really tasty and fresh!! Fantastic polite and professional service from the staff. Food is great value too with good value for money. Girl with brown curly hair (Emer?) in particular is a very cute girl.

We arrived at O'Neill's The Point right at lunch time and it was wonderful. I got the hake roman-style and my mom got a spicy prawn dish that I don't recall the exact name of. Everything was delicious! I am not a massive seafood fan,...but I would happily eat the hake multiple times a week. The spicy prawns were also the perfect blend of spicy and garlicky. Aside from the food, the location is beautiful, the restaurant atmosphere is casual and fun, and the staff is super friendly and professional. If you're in the southwest of Ireland, this place is definitely worth the trip.More

This was the favourite haunt of my English cousin and her husband for decades so we went for dinner with friends after their Memorial Service in Waterville. Yes it would be mine also if we lived in west Kerry. They do not accept reservations but...that disadvantage is soon forgotten by the food and the service. The location is worth the visit also.More

Amazing seafood, so fresh and delicious. Also a location with a great view of the Atlantic. Definitely recommend for anyone.

The hake was soggy, the fish was cold, the crab meat was off and sick all day. Supposed to be fresh fish, don’t think so. Really disappointed with it for where the restaurant is. No fresh vegetables or chips on the menu really show that...the prep for salads and potatoes were probably done in the morning.More

That was the highlight! Neither meal - monkfish or hake - was good. The monkfish was so hot it would seem to have been microwaved and the batter on the hake was soggy. We were there on advice so maybe they were having an off...night.More

This is a wonderful place to stop for lunch before getting the ferry, such great views. All fish dishes but plenty to choose from and all fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the platter as you get to try alittle of everything

We went to the point for diner on a Saturday night and I have to say we didn't feel welcome, as foreigners and as a couple with a baby. We were on the waiting list for a table inside, having a drink outside. We saw...people eating bread and starters next to us so we thought we could order appetizers while waiting but the waitress got angry saying we had to decide between outside and inside. We were really rushed to decide! We said we would to eat outside only to wait for a very long time to have someone taking our order - another waitress who asked if we decided where to eat (?) She offered a table inside but way too small to have a high chair. Quite tired we just ordered and waited a very very long time to get our diner. When I ask why, the waitress mentioned the mongfish was a long preparation ( no problem but why not warning us?). We asked if the heating could be turned on as we have a young baby, they agreed but we had to ask 3 times before someone came. And someone came to turn it off not long after. When we asked why, the waitress said there were technical problems between the heating and the light ( no problem but why not warning us??). Hopefully, a couple of times when we had no answers we found one waitress to help inside, someone who wasn't supposed to serve but who was very nice and was actually talking to us. At the end we didn't have a nice evening, even if the food was good. I'm not used to write comments but I was a bit chocked here. We are foreigners we probably didn't understand how this place worked, but our English is quite ok; we are able to understand things if people take a couple of minutes to explain and to acknowledge usMore

A local ghillie tipped us off about O'Neills as the best fish restaurant around, and did us a big favour. On a Friday evening it was packed - they don't take reservations. However we got an outside table and enjoyed the fantastic view across to...Valentia Island and Knights Town. We didn't have to wait long for our food. It is a dedicated fish restaurant: oysters, crab dishes, hot salmon and an excellent mixed hot and cold platter were the highlights. Main courses were between about 23 and 32 euro; not cheap but nor over the top for the area. Strongly recommended.More

We had quick lunch. Nice prawns and crab sandwich. Quick and friendly service. Great view on the harbor but hefty prices for small portions.

First timers to this place and would LOVE to return. The ambiance was outstanding as were all of our entrees, especially my monkfish casserole. Birdie and her son EJ made our evening a memorable occasion.

Visited on the recommendation of my son Steven and his girlfriend Anna and were not disappointed! Fresh seafood platter was fantastic and the welcome by A.J. and Bridie was warm and friendly. Service was excellent. Regret not trying the lobster. Would definitely recommend a visit...to this lovely restaurant.More
