QC's won the prestigious award of BIM (Irish Fisheries Board) Seafood Restaurant of the Year in 2012. With Head Chef Eddy Gannon the food seems to just get better and our team of wait staff are as committed to making your dining experience as pleasurable as possible. Please note that Cahersiveen is a tourist town and when its quiet its very very quiet and when its busy its very VERY BUSY ..... All our food is fresh and cooked to order so please relax and let us look after you.

I absolutely loved Quinlan & Cooke (Q&C) Boutique Townhouse and Restaurant in Cahersiveen! If I lived in Ireland, it would be a place I would return to without hesitation.
How we got there is a bit of a story. We were trekking The Kerry Way, and our trekking company had put us up in another accommodation. Unfortunately, this particular hotel was a 1-star at best. We have done 4 different treks over the years and have never been so disappointed in an accommodation, so this was an exception. With that being said, we were supposed to stay an extra day in Cahersiveen (it was our rest day). My husband and I couldn’t fathom staying another night in this particular hotel as it was very dirty and had water and heating issues.
While walking in town I came across the Q&C and thought I would give it a go. The staff was so accommodating! I explained my situation although I was hesitant to make negative comments about the other location. With Cahersiveen being a small town, I didn’t want to speak poorly of a small business, but I was also not willing to stay there any longer. The Q&C had 1 room left and I snatched it up! The room was gorgeous! It had an extremely comfortable bed and a wonderful shower (both of which are a treat after trekking all day!). We ended up eating at the Q&C restaurant 2 nights in a row because the food was excellent! One of my favorite features of this Hotel was their breakfast service in the morning. Our mini frig contained a beautiful array of breakfast goodies, and in the early morning, you would find fresh French pastries at your door! All of which were included in the very reasonable price of the room. Now that is an amazing feature and service!
I also can’t speak highly enough of the entire staff and owner! They were all friendly, helpful, and kind and provided over-the-top customer service! Since we live in the United States, I don’t imagine that we would ever be back, but I can’t recommend Quinlan & Cooke enough, you will not be disappointed!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality from Kate and staff that made us feel right at home. The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was impeccable.
The restaurant is both a comfortable and luxurious experience. The seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the flavours exquisite. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with taste—clearly made with fresh local ingredients.
As for the townhouse, it exceeded all our expectations. The rooms were stylishly decorated, spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities you could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The breakfast delivery the room is a touch that one would hope for in any where they stayed.
QC's is not just a place to eat and sleep; it's an experience that combines luxury, comfort, and authentic service.

My friend & myself stayed here for 2 nights. The accommodation is of a very high standard. We had a beautiful room very tastefully decorated & spotlessly clean. The breakfast in the room was a great idea, with tasty pastries, fresh fruit, smoke salmon local cheese & so much more. We were nibbling all day. Our room had a patio which we sat out on for breakfast. There was a gorgeous garden to browse around. Highly recommend a visit. Michèle

While staying at the affiliated (and poorly run) hotel we thought that eating onsite would be to our relaxation advantage, unfortunately we dealt with slow and disorganized service. The food was fine, but certainly not memorable. Sadly, I think giving the entire town a miss would be to every tourists advantage.

Me and my partner ate in QC’s during the week and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was great and the service was brilliant. We shared the fish tacos to start and ordered drinks and both arrived at our table very promptly. My partner had the wagu beef burger and I had the seafood linguine which again arrived at our table very quickly. My partner said it was the best burger he’s ever had and my dish was delicious. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Very well priced for the quality of service and food you receive. Will definitely return if we are back in the area.

Had huge expectations about this restaurant. The building and interior is modern and stylish. We looked forward to a largely fish menu, but were pleased to see it included meat and vegetarian alternatives. I had the crab crepe followed by black sole on the bone. Both were delicious, on the small side and expensive. I have to admit to having a cheese sandwich when I got home.

I have been coming to Cahersiveen for 16 years now and have been to QC’s every year. It’s a very good restaurant, with excellent decor. It’s little details like ship light housings repurposed as lamps, a heavy old marine pulley used as a doorstop, the mooring rope lining the edge between the wood panels and the wall that give that extra attention to detail and stays true to the nautical theme.
The food is always good and this evening was more of the same. I had the seafood bisque which was wonderful and my daughter loved the battered squid. This was followed by the seafood tagliatelle was also good. The fish and chips always looks amazing and it is a sizeable portion. Love the mushy peas that come with it, although we don’t understand why a high end restaurant doesn’t make their own chips, which would make the fish and chips perfect. The deserts, Creme Brûlée and Tiramisu were good.
The Portuguese Alvarinho white wine paired well with the seafood. Luis and Catarina, the wait staff were delightful and couldn’t do more for you, super polite and always trying to ensure your experience is a great one.
We will definitely return, as we have for many years.

Ate dinner here with my family, found it to be good value and we loved that the kids meals were interesting not just the usual sausages and chips. Garlic prawns were juicy, fish and chips was beautifully seasoned and delicious and the fish taco was beautifully fresh. The wine list was wonderful and we felt very safe with tables nicely spaced out.Wish we had time to eat here again, definitely the best meal we had in cahirciveen/Waterville/sneem and kenmare.

We had a phenomenal meal here and I highly recommend this place. This was easily the best seafood we had in our 2 weeks in Ireland. The food was good, the presentation (which I usually don’t even notice) was unique; we had a long talk with the owner afterwards that we really enjoyed. And the servers were very good: they seemed to know when to stop by our table and they always had a nice comment. But I’d go here for the seafood, even if everything else was as good as it was.

QCS is a trump card on all sides . Dining in the stylish restaurant recently renovated to give a modern classic contemporary feel is an instant mood booster . The menu consists of fresh local fish from quinlans and incredible meat dishes . I love the wine list here especially the house classic 3 Wolly sheep . The accommodation is stylish and comfortable and an ideal place to stay for a weekend get away . In a town like Cahersiveen which values every economic outlet it is a truly great amenitie . QCS delivers a name and reputation it deserves and keeps customers coming back to the beautiful area to enjoy all that the restaurant and accommodation offer . I can’t wait to get back for a great dinner again in the near future .

Stayed for three nights over the August bank holiday weekend with my wife on our 10 year wedding anniversary.
Kate, her family and the team couldn’t have been more welcoming to us. As soon as we walked in the door everything was taken care of. From booking us in for our dinners, assisting with our parking and giving us great advice on local attractions and things to do.
The room itself was spotless, modern, spacious and very well equipped. We stayed in the courtyard room. The fridge was stocked with juices, fresh fruit, salmon and bottled water. The bathroom was stunning and in the morning fresh pastries awaited us hanging on the door!
The hotel restaurant and bar are excellent, my wife loved the squid and even for a fussy vegetarian like myself I was well looked after! Good pints of Guinness if I may say so too 😀.
Well located in the heart of the picturesque village of Cahersiveen with easy access to many beaches and sites. It’s a great place to stay to sample the best Kerry has to offer.
Truly a great stay and I look forward to a return visit this side of 2020.

We recently stayed at QC's Townhouse and restaurant for 3 nights and they were the best 3 nights away this year. This wonderful family run hotel is not to be missed if you are in Cahirciveen. The rooms are beautifully decorated and are understated but luxurious. Little touches like fresh milk and muesli in the mini fridge were much appreciated.
The restaurant serves the finest and freshest seafood in Kerry and the service and friendliness of the staff will bring us back again and again.

A friend and I recently had the pleasure of dining in Quinlan & Cooke's (QC's) restaurant in Cahersiveen, County Kerry. From the moment we arrived the entire evening was excellent. Every precaution was taken to ensure the safety of both customers and staff with hand sanitizer stations, physical menus replaced with a Qr code and tables set well apart, and all staff wore masks. The food was nothing short of sublime! We both happened to order fish - lobster, hake and crab claws all washed down with a well chilled Three Wooly Sheep Sauvignon Blanc. This was our first meal out since Covid-19 restricitons were eased and while we were slightly apprehensive, we were quickly put at our ease. A definite highlight of our trip and one we will repeat very soon.

QCs know how it's done!. Their accommodation is
top class and uniquely quirky. We dined twice in the restaurant and enjoyed beautifully prepared
locally sourced seafood and steaks. On a personal note we would like to sincerely thank Kate for her very kind gesture. Don't pass through Cahersiveen without calling to QCs !!!

Spent two nights in the stylish QC’s Townhouse...what a gem!
Immaculate rooms .. total luxury.. super soft bedding, lots of thoughtful books on Kerry to read.
Very special seafood dinner in the restaurant. And we loved the breakfast in our room with smoked salmon brown bread fresh fruit and tasty granola pots .. and warm croissants. I can’t say enough good things about QC’s. Thanks to Jade Kate and all the team .. really beautiful X
