Lovely setting, warm, cosy in a big space. Food great - limited menu, but you go for the pizza. End of. Staff very friendly. Dave highly recommends.

Nice but not amazing. Great family place, plenty space and suitable for even young kids. Pizzas were mixed, my partners was amazing, mine disappointing.
Lovely venue in an old Victorian chapel. Reasonably priced wine and Guinness, and the best pizza I’ve had for ages, possibly ever! Thin crusty base with lashings of delicious toppings. Recommend the “Espana”.
Excellent thin crust pizza base with good quality toppings. Friendly and pleasant staff with well chose drink menu including local beers. Best pizza I have had in ages.
Preface: I'm a tourist, and I know how pizza should really looks like (say roman/neapolitan style). That, is not a pizza. It is an expensive disc, not leavened, undercooked, with cheap, very cheap ingredients. With 15 € euro, one can eat very good pizzas even...in switz, and certainly in germany, italy. Do yourself a favour. Unless you don't find any other place to eat, stay away from eating there. It is ok for a beer at the sunset, but it is a waste of money for pizza. And I mean, nowdays anyone can make good pizzas following youtube lessons and buying nice ingredients. Yet, that is not the case.More
Hi Lorenzo. Thank you for visiting us at the oratory in the beautiful Cahersiveen. Im sorry you did not enjoy our Disc shaped pizzas. We do not advertise our pizzas as neither roman or neapolitan style. Our style of pizza was developed to suite the...More
Fab pizza great location pleasant waitress we booked a table for 8 p.m arrived at 8 seated immediately order taken 15 minutes later then we waited 1 hour to get our pizza .Well I called a waiter and asked him what was the reason why...we were waiting such a long time immediately we were served our meal but people before us were still waiting about 10 minutes after we were served. I ordered a guinness and was given a pint of guinness out of a can and charged 5 euro for same it was not chilled I felt this was not a nice way to treat customers it is a typical way to rip off customers.More
Such a lovely find! We discovered this place on TripAdvisor as we were searching for a restaurant after spending a day at Skellig Michael. After a boat tour on a drizzly day it was so lovely to walk into this warm and beautifully lit restaurant....The food was outstanding, providing very unusual choices. My teen and I got the blue peach which had peaches and blue cheese on it, a combination I had never tried before. My husband had the tikka, which was Indian inspired and similar to some Indian pizzas I had in San Francisco, but again a most unusual combination! Even the tortilla chip appetizer was a step above. The chunky salsa had so much flavor! For this family of four, including two picky teens, it was lovely to try new combinations, but still have some old standards on the menu. If we lived in the area, this would be a favorite for us. The restaurant itself is built inside an old church, and it makes the ambience unique and warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! The pictures are not very good, so apologies for the quality.More
Very disappointed. Left waiting over an hour for 3 pizzas with 2 other friends. When pizzas finally came they were not the ones we ordered, the originally ordered pizzas had to be remade. Drink glasses were warm when they came. Also ordered a side of...olives for €4.50 which was a minuscule portion. Would not recommend.More
Thanks for your feedback Michael. I'm very sorry that you had to wait so long while sat outside in the beautiful south Kerry sunshine drinking a cool beer and a glass of wine while your fresh pizzas were being cooked.
We felt transported into the warm and artsy atmosphere of The Oratory. Kate provided excellent service -- quick and personal. Pizzas had robust toppings on crispy, thin crusts (like a flatbread). Kate suggested we split 1 pizza into 2 flavours (an option for 2 euros)...so we ultimately ordered 2 pizzas and had 3 flavours with some slices to take home. Appreciated having several options for getting a glass of wine vs. a bottle. We had the place to ourselves at 5:00 but there was a line-up by the time we left at 6:30. A meal to remember!More
Ate here on Wednesday night. Got lucky as there was a cancellation as we hadn’t booked. Our hostess was welcoming and seemed to really enjoy her job. I forgot to ask her name. Pizzas were excellent. Ambiance is unreal. Staff are attentive and hardworking. We...will definitely return and this time we will make sure to book in advance. Congratulated the owner as I paid and this is a business that can be proud of itself.More
Could not be more pleased with how our visit to The Oratory went. We were a large family group and did not hold out much hope for getting a table as we did not have a booking but the staff were so accommodating and managed...to seat us all together. Our server Abbie was so friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. They were out of the crab pizza that day so I will definitely be back to try it next time I am down that direction.More
Super pizza. Glowing reviews are correct. Fine food. Reasonable prices. Take away options. Friendly staff. Worth a visit.
A group of friends went for pizza it’s not the 1st time we have been & certainly won’t be the last the food is absolutely amazing great choice & staff were 100%
We visited The Oratory as a family of two adults and two children. Our table was available straight away and our order was taken quickly and pizzas were out to us even quicker. The pizzas were average, nothing to write home about so we didn't...stay for puddings. We were booked in for 6pm and the place was full of young children which didn't surprise me as families with younger children tend to dine early. I was unable to book a later table without it being too late and not fitting into our day. The pizzas were very overpriced for what they were, extremely thin based, more like a Jacobs cream cracker with the toppings thrown on. Not the same as two years ago, which was the last time we dined here and the pizzas were of a much better quality. If you want to pay over the odds for a non remarkable pizza, then this is the place and expect lots of young children upto around 7pm. Sorry The Oratory, it was nothing special.More
