Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a very special evening at Rosspoint. On a a extremely blustery day, we spent the afternoon riding out by the dunes and out to the very tip of the strand, we were conflicted between going on into the village for our evening meal...or surrendering to fatigue and calling it an early night. Fortunately, Arlene had a brainwave. LATE SUPPER AT LOVELY ROSSPOINT. Lads, the evening was sublime. I had a full Irish fry-up and herself had the lamb chops with half mash, half chips and vegetable. Gretta, our server, was on the ball with the local produced cider, Cronins, which really did complement our food, and we learnt more about the local area and some of the tracks and trails we hope to explore further over the coming months. Desert was a mouth-watering Baileys cheesecake, you could know it was freshly made, oozing freshness. We had a few shots of schnapps as well, just to fortify ourselves further against the elements. Such lovely scenery from our table; you can even see Dingle harbour across the bay, and Inch as well, if you have good binoculars. Overall the food and drinks and service were excellent, thank you Gretta and staff for a lovely evening. There was a kind of Karaoke thing on as well, and Arlene went up to sing for me as a surprise for me for our wedding anniversary. There was no need, but once she starts, there's no stopping her. 100% lovely time. .More

Thank you so much to the O’Sullivan family, Jenny, Connie and Darren for looking after us so well on our family holiday. We had a big family party here 32 adults and 20 children! The staff were so busy and pulled out all the stops...even arranging a guitar and microphone so that we could have an even better party. We will be living on the memories of that night for years. Will be back next year to do it all again. Thank you to Dylan, June, Paco and Gretta for looking after us all so welll. Irish Coffee’s are delicious here and the food is beautiful.More

Just closed on our holiday home in the area and had to return to Rosspoint to savour the culinary art of Sid. Were we disappointed? No sirree! Properly marinated chickens wings served in portions that could easily count as a main course. The steak sandwich...was cooked to order, served on lovely warm just-baked bread. We are hooking up with the local stables and intend to go riding most days along the strand and in the dunes. Rosspoint will be our oasis; good food to restore our strength and pints of porter and Heineken served by Greta, our lovely hostess who always welcomes us back as ould freinds.More

My family and I came for fish and chips (best my parents had in Ireland) with a view and got just that and more. Big shout out to June who made our stay even better with great craic and amazing hospitality. Couldn’t have asked for...a better introduction to Glenbeigh with the family. Finished our meal with an equally amazing dessert, I haven’t seen my dad eat that much ice cream in years !! Thank’s so much Rosspoint and June, we hope to see you soon. We were in the area and decided to give it a try. It was delicious!! Fish and chips were great, the burger was to die for and the vegetable soup was the best we had while in Ireland. The staff was very friendly, and the...owner came by the table to make sure everything was good. I would highly recommend this gem by the beach!More

Back on Rossbay Beach after a spell away from South Ireland. Such a relief being back, Sid has cracked the perfect Fish n Chips formula; mouthwatering, succulent, beer-battered locally caught white fish. Ample chips, scrumptious home-made sauce. And Greta, still pouring the best pints of...Guinness and Heinikins. We were again fortunate to be briefed by local residents on the heroics of the girl's GAA team, great exponents of their heritage; their exploits on the field are reflected on the wall's thoughtfully selected portraits. Delightful Rosspoint. Sid and Greta, you still have the gift of great hospitality. Thank you.More
