Amazing interior. The atmosphere almost jumps out at you. A massive collection of artifacts photos, posters and signs. Sunday evening has fantastic Irish music from 7 till 9pm. They sing non-stop. The beer's not bad either.

Good food and drinks at this bar/restaurant in Clifden. Service was good and attentive as well. Well done!
Nice little country pub. Great seafood chowder, warm ambience. Highly recommended. Can’t think of anything else to say.
A friend recommended this pub as we were staying in Clifden for a few nights midweek. We went for the first time on a Tuesday night not expecting much. However, it is a beautiful old Irish bar with lots of character and lovely staff. There...was live music which was brilliant and we went back again the next night.More
This is possibly one of the most welcmong traditional, immaculate pubs in Ireland. Maybe it was a bad day for her, but despite the immense charm of the design, the ruddest blonde haired barmaid called bridget actually spent 45 minutes on her phone as she...chucked back our change and toasted sandwiches! Er, excuse me, I've done bar work and waited tables so I know ignorant, difficult customers. But I've never ever come across a pushy rude ignorant member of staff in my life. It's a great place, just don't go there if bridget is working!More
Hi Paul, thanks for your review and your very kind words about the welcoming and immaculate nature of the pub. We are very sorry to hear that your visit and the level of engagement with one of our team was not 100% satisfactory, as we...More
Although we visited off peak season on a winter's night we were made feel welcome from the barman Cian. We enjoyed an evening with locals trying all the Gin and Whiskey you could think of. Cian was very knowledgeable and friendly. Must visit if you...are visiting!More
We had pre dinner drinks on New Years Eve and it was like sitting in a jewel. Nice atmosphere lovely service.
This is a must visit, and stay a while bar, right in the heart of Clifden. Probable the best pint anywhere and together with the vast range of whiskeys on offer for tasting is easily a must not miss establishment when in Clifden. Now, best...bar person ever encountered works here, Damian is his name and he is ex Ballynahinch Castle and you can tell !! His excellent hospitality and thorough knowledge of the various whiskeys on offer is to be experienced. As a family we visited again the Nov. 2019, the pub was pretty well packed so there was agreat buzz what with the trad musicians playing away in the background. A great evening was had by all and we will be back. Dont miss out on Lowrey's & Damien's hospitality when next in Clifden. Very pleasent experience.More
A bank holiday, so it was a bit crowded, but we got seats next to the band. Peter gave a shout out to us for our 50th anniversary. The group took requests and there was wonderful craic.
