Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a fantastic bar full of charachters and the most friendly staff members, Brigid, Damian etc. Trad, music nights, casual snacks, great pints what more can you ask for. Visiting Lowry's when in Clifden is a must. Try it you will be well pleased with...the experience ! Only problem.....you will want to visit over and over !! Liam.More

Good food at this place with reasonable pricing. The staff are charming staff but service could improve, we had to go find them every time we want to order something or needed cutlery etc.

We popped in here for a sneaky pint on a damp Tuesday evening in January! The place looked quiet from outside but inside it was humming. I note that this pub was voted the Best Traditional Bar in Ireland in 2015, 2018 and 2019 and...I can see why. It hardly needs my recommendation! Nevertheless, it has a lovely atmosphere and delivers a great pint! Go visit!More

We popped in here most nights for a drink either before or after dinner (sometimes both!) Great atmosphere with attentive staff. A real mix of locals and visitors like us. Good live music playing on different nights.

We visited the pub for a few drinks before dinner. The pub decor was very tradition Irish. It was lovely. However, when we arrived it was after a GAA match. There was a group of people at the bar drunk and a group in an...alcove. They were jumping around and telling everyone to be quite so they could sing. No social distancing, no response from the staff of the pub. We left as they got loud and unruly.More
