Incredible bartenders and wait staff serving up Clifden’s best fare! Must have Fish &. Chips. Freshest salads paired with brie. Irelands finest root vegetable soups. After dozens of visits never disappointed!

After reading positive reviews about Guys Bar, we made sure to eat here one of our two nights in Clifden. The place was booked, but we were able to get a table later in the evening, and the food was delicious. My wife had pizza,...which she loved, and I had the beef bourguignon, which was one of the best dinners I had in Ireland. The place has a friendly atmosphere, too. We highly recommend it.More

Fantastic service and food! We went twice because it was the only place we experienced both in the fortnight we spent in Clifden. We had scampi, croque monsieur, buffalo mozzerralla salad and pizza. We returned to Guys in Clifden and the food is still excellent. The only little observation l would have was that the sticky toffee pudding wasent as nice as the one l had the first time I was there. Didn’t like the popcorn on it...,and there was less sauce. My husband had the fish and chips and thought they were lovely. I had the toasted sour dough with ham cheese tomato and onion. Also really good. Nikita looked after us and she was as lovely as ever. A great addition to guys and so friendly. Actually the service is excellent and the staff very good. We would return here for lunch anytime we were in Clifden and would recommend it to everyone.More

Got a table for four one afternoon for some food and a drink. Ordered the special smoked salmon salad / fish and chips and pizza - all, without exception, were fantastic. There is so much to say about Guys Bar & Snug there is not enough room. We stop of there regularly for a bowl of their famous Guinness Stew :-) love it. The staff there are 100% friendly and efficient, the management are welcoming and...always enjoy a good auld natter (chat). Should you dine there I HIGHLY recommend the Guinness Stew.More

We visited on a rainy but busy weekend. Waited a few minutes for a table, glad we did. Servers were super friendly and patient with our kids and indecisive adults. Unfortunately right after we ordered food, the power went out! Emergency lights came on and...they announced the kitchen could not make food….yet somehow our meals came out a while later, slightly modified (I had chicken curry served with chips/fries because they couldn’t make rice)! Our favourite place to eat in Clifden. There's often a short wait at the bar before getting a table but it's definitely worth the wait. The menu isn't massive but the range is very good and the food is excellent. We are a family of...5, kids range from 14 to 6. Empty plates and full tummies. Very attentive and friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit when we return to Clifden.More
