We ate in the signal bar the staff were pleasant but the dining experience was not great. My drink was flat, the high chair was dirty my chips were not cooked. The staff were pleasant but at a point it gets embarrassing complaining and you just give it up as a bad job. Second poor food experience.

We stayed at the hotel opposite so it was a perfect location. The restaurant and bar was very nice and quiet with an open fire. The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly.

3 course meal for 6 people - everything bar two desserts were fabulous. The Chocolate Torte and Sticky Toffee Pudding was ok nothing spectacular but everything else was great. House wine very acceptable. Definitely worth a visit if staying here. Service was excellent.

The concept at this restaurant is fantastic and well executed, however the reason one comes to such a place is for great food and service, sadly this was lacking - the service was provided by two staff and it suggested the young lady serving understood the principles and did a good job (she got the tip) the guy could be... On a January Friday, this was probably one of the very few places in Clifden that was open for dinner. So it was extremely busy and noisy. The staff was running around and so were lots of children. I had the lamb shank, which was ok but it could have enjoyed some more time in the oven. When properly prepared,... More
