I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars for their tofu bites. My vegetarian son and I were so excited to find tofu on the menu- only the second time our entire trip in Ireland. They were tasty and we ordered 2 batches of them along with...chips and a salad. The rest of the food was only okay- including my parents' meat dishes. The service was good.More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant and relaxed ambience. Food was very tasty (beef bourguignon & pasta) Very good vegetarian/vegan option menu. Portions more than enough. Very reasonably priced. Hope to be back soon

Our family of 4 ate here on Friday night having made a reservation before travelling to Connemara. The children enjoyed the chicken caesar burgers but our food wasn't great. Partner had a seafood bake dish that only came with a side salad, no mash or...chips. He isn't a fussy eater at all but ranked the dish 5/10. I ordered the special which was chicken and smoked bacon and honestly it was the worse pasta dish I've ever had out, but I was wrong to order this dish for a non Italian restaurant l. The sauce was watery and oily so the spaghetti was slippery and I struggled to get it to stay on the cutlery. Very few pieces of bacon and I'm not sure what the cut of chicken was but it was unusual and I got a real turn off it. The kids got sticky toffee pudding which they enjoyed but my raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake tasted like raspberry ripple ice cream and didn't have a cheesecake texture. Service wasn't fantastic,we had to ask for desert menu which was then forgotten so we went up to order. All around a very disappointing trip for a meal that we were looking forward to after reading the trip advisor reviews.More

The staff were friendly. The food was nice but the portions were so small and completely overpriced, we couldn't believe how small the portions were for the price. We left still hungry.

A lovely restaurant with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Excellent menu choice and all dishes were perfect. The lamb shoulder was particularly good. If you order the chicken wings for a starter I strongly suggest that one portion between two is a good idea!

We had three courses and all were delicious. The fried oysters were unreal never tasted anything so good. We both had the monkfish special and it was delicious. The flavours complimented each other.

After Fiona at the restaurant went to extraordinary lengths to contact me about being unable to honour a reservation due to an unanticipated closure, we definitely owed them a visit the next night. It was a cozy, intimate environment on a rainy evening. We enjoyed...the fresh local oysters au naturel, a gorgeous celeriac soup (special) and mains. The drinks list was comprehensive and fairly priced. Besides the great service, what impressed us most was the care the chef took over each dish. The menu isn't fussy or complex. But each dish (including those we saw enjoyed at neighbouring tables) is balanced and delicious. Our meal was truly special and a highlight of our week's stay in Ireland.More

Ok Menu Ok food Poor wine choices considering mostly fish on the menu. Fish bake, the special of the day was good, but all other dishes we received were ok. Not moorish and tasty just OK
