20 of our extended family and friends had a reunion pre wedding dinner here last month. The food and drinks were superb and the service top notch , not intrusive and it was a private function. Highly recommend

Small restaurant occupying a couple of old thatched cottages in Adare. Monkfish starter a bit disappointing, slightly overcooked and not enough sauce, Mains of fish pie and black sole were tasty as were the fries. I had the poached peach which was nice without being...mind blowing. Attentive young staff which made for a nice relaxed, unpretentious vibe.More

What a delightful experience this was. The modest understated thatched building sets a charmed and relaxed ambience for a gastronomic celebration where the focus is entirely on the interplay of flavors in the hands of a world class chef. Our dishes were artfully crafted and...beautifully plated and topped all of our dining experiences during our two weeks in Ireland. We were thrilled to meet and chat with Wade, the chef and owner, who has infused his passion into creating a memorable dining experience. Thank you!More

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. Everything from the atmosphere, the food and the service. Can’t recommend it enough, the food was some of the best we’ve had. Will be back again soon.

Dinner at 1826 one week ago . Atmosphere excellent. Very attentive but not intrusive staff . Food was of highest standard. Surrounds warm and full of character reflecting that personal touch of the husband and wife team. Wanted to return while in area but ,...not surprisingly, restaurant booked out for the few nights. It really lived up to previous reviews.More

Hello booked for 03/03 Thursday service. we ordered 3 starters and 4 different dishes. WE received treacle bread which was stale (like from last sunday ), the food was average (like your average pub food ) but overpriced. I am especially referring to the FISH...PIE, which was esentially bland chowder full of fish pieces covered in panko crumbs with egg on the top . the fennel salad accompanying this was average with no flavour zero dressing and not well thought out flavour wise. absolutely nothing interesting in this dish, the execution was average, no flavour and overpriced. The second dish was sole on the bone, the presentaiton was poor, just fish on the plate and sauce.. flavour wise ok but we have had to order some side dishes to accompany it (so 32 eu plus 4.50 plus 4.50 ) to have a dish that can feed you. that is overpriced for quality and amount of foood you receive. again the presentation and flavour is AVERAGE. third dish was the korean chicken, well executed ok but no crispy skin on the chicken as it should be and no accompanying salad or anything. bare chicken literallly. So TIGHT. Last dish and it was GOOD was the lamb, well executed loads of things on the dish, well presented some thought out flavours.... same for pudding starter, I can recommend that. as for starters, the monkfish scampi was average, and the crab salad was average. Nothing great about this place. just save yourselves money and go to the GOOD ROOM in adare or THE MUSTARD SEED in adare for more posh experience. This place was my worst dining experience in so called 5 star restaurants in ireland (been here 15 years) WE LEFT WITHOUT ORDERING DESERTS BECAUSE WE WERE SO DISSAPOINTED BY THE FOOD. So average, so tight so poor and OVERPRICED for what they present on the plate. Money making pit. essentiallyMore

Was really looking forward to going after reading reviews. We went to pub afterwards to get a toasted sandwich the portions were so small. Korean chicken wasnt cooked through and is more like roast chicken legs with a sweet sauce. The steak was small less...than an inch thick and very fatty. 35 euros. I got 1 slice of black pudding for starter and my partner had scampi which was very chewy. Overall it was very bad and it cost over 100 Euro. 1 gin and tonic incl no deserts. Maybe we were too early amd it was a young chef but very surprised nothing was good. Staff and the place were lovely so a real shame. First time i never left a tip but felt a bit ripped off.More

Recently visited this restaurant. Starters priced at 13 to 15 euro. Exceptionally small portions. All sides priced individually eg €4.50 for chips or carrots and parsnips Sole on the bone €34.95 with no side included. When one of the group complained 3 of the staff...surrounded the table. Total intimidation. Will never visit again.More

Very nice food but shockingly overpriced - €30 for a pork chop and sides!! Granted it was a well cooked tasty pork chop but a pork chop is a pork chop.

We had dinner at 1826 Adare last week. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent and we would highly recommend 1826 Adare to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in a relaxed setting. Adare is well known for its great restaurants and 1826...Adare is among the best we have experienced in this beautiful town. Starter, entree and dessert options were varied and we each thoroughly enjoyed our choices.More

Small menu expertly assembled. This is a faultless restaurant and very good value for money. Casual fine dining if there is such a thing. Friendly staff and thoroughly professional management front and back of house.
