Small menu expertly assembled. This is a faultless restaurant and very good value for money. Casual fine dining if there is such a thing. Friendly staff and thoroughly professional management front and back of house.
Stayed at Adare Manor again and made sure to dine at 1826. Second time did not disappoint. All 8 of our party enoyed the food and drink and found this a great value as well. This restaurant as well as The Mustard Seed are must...dine places in and around Adare.More
I took my mum for lunch yesterday as a last minute treat and Elaine and Wade were accommodating as always and had a beautiful table in their newly refurbished outdoor terrace for us. We felt comfortable and excited to finally be back. Their new menu...offers something for all and I was truly delighted with my choice of the mussels! We shared a delicious eclair and relaxed over two coffees for desert. 1826 is firmly our family’s favourite and a true gem in the village of Adare.More
Very enjoyable meal. All 6 of our party was very satisfied. Not huge portions so ordered extra sides to make up for it. Felt the atmosphere was effected by a very negative / bossy female member of staff, likely a manager. It didn't suit the...vibe of the restaurant.More
Very limited and unexciting menu.
Definitely not good value for the prices they are charging. When a main course costs about 34 euro, it should come with interesting sides..not just boiled potatoes.
Monk fish starter was like a child's meal..very bad presentation. Desserts were very...disappointing.More
My husband and I dined in 1826 on our staycation around Ireland. The atmosphere was lovely - warmly welcomed by Elaine. I had the Monkfish scampi - melt in the mouth - main course for me was chicken and my husband baked cod. I had...the lemon tort for dessert. It was beautiful from start to finish and great value for fine dining. We will be back.More
We went to this restaurant for a special anniversary dinner as it came highly recommended. And we were not disappointed. The food was excellent. The ingenuity of taking dishes I have had previously and turning them into something special was present in all 3 courses....For example in the goats cheese and beetroot salad there was a beetroot meringue. Great service and a lovely atmosphere. I will definitely go againMore
Enjoyed dinner here very much. We had the scallops and monkfish scampi to start, which were small but packed with flavour, and the halibut and cod for main courses which were perfectly cooked. The classic chocolate tarte was divine, but the mango/passion fruit (there was...no passion fruit on the plate!) parfait was a letdown. Overall though it is wonderful to see such high quality cooking in County Limerick - which has very little on offer.More
