Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came in for a fast light lunch during our visit to Adare.. Cute place and golfers will assuredly enjoy some of the memorabilia on the walls. Our seafood chowders were most satisfactory and another perfectly-drawn Guiness. All good.

We stopped here on the way to Kerry and it was perfect. Food was delicious, we had a mixture of starters and mains to share. The portions are big, everything was lovely. I wasn't driving so able to try the Guinness and it was very...nice. A good mixture of locals there too which is always a good sign. Would definitely recommend if staying in Adare, or as a stop on a further journey.More

Fantastic local pub! Four of us were in Adare for a couple of nights and we ended up here for drinks and then dinner. The staff is wonderful and the atmosphere and vibe are great. Lovely mix of locals and tourists. Our meals were amazing....The Irish Stew is the best we had during our Ireland visit. The beer is cold, great selections. They have a ton of Irish whiskey. We even had some great local music. Hats off and thank you Michael for a great visit.More

Most of the tables had reserve signs on them. We questioned whether we could eat there. We were seated at a table with the understanding we would need to be finished eating by 7 pm. That was fine, but they did not bring our food...until 6:45 pm. It eventually worked out and we were able to finish our meal. I had a very Irish meal of bacon, cabbage with mash potatoes and parsnip cream that was quite good. My friend enjoyed her steak sandwich. The atmosphere was very friendly and it seemed there were a lot of people who dine there often which is always a good sign. (September, 2022)More

First time here and was slightly disappointed. . Went on a weekday evening. Place was buzzing which was good, service was pleasant and prompt, even with a large xmas party event on. Had food at the bar. Went for the soup which was chicken/spiced coconut...-flavours were OK, didn't like the texture of the blitzed chicken much but ate it happily enough. Beef burger was disappointing, not fussed on the sauce/cheese and the chips were poor, tasted like frozen oven chips, very dry and i had to douse in vinegar and ketchup to eat them. Decent pint of guinness to go with it but I would expect better when handing over €30+.More

When one looks for the definition of a lovely Irish pub this is it. We popped in on a winters day and received a friendly greeting and seated at a comfortable table. Our dishes included fish and chips, Irish stew and chicken. All were delicious...after we all enjoyed a warm up Irish coffee. Appreciated that they offered half portions which were ample. A bustling spot.More

The place we were recommended decided they were not doing food on a saturday lunchtime so we headed further on and found this place. We had steak sandwiches which were really tasty and came with fries and 2 sauces. Really good but I always prefer...my steak sandwiches to be sliced steak rather than a slab of meat which can be chewy and hard to eat. They also had Guinness zero which is not always the case outside Dublin and this is good for the driver who still wants a lunchtime pint.More

Absolutely spectacular- we popped in here a little bit peckish so we had the BLT to share. It was the best sandwich we’ve ever had. The service was excellent and the staff were so friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

Was recommended by the place we had accommodations and it didn't disappoint. Had more of a pub feel than a restaurant but the entire family enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I took a chance and got a cabbage/potato dish which was excellent. Staff was friendly...and attentive. Pretty good whiskey selection.More

Arrived in off the cuff seeking a table for two. Looked full but we were accommodated briskly. The attentive manner of all the staff especially Neil was exceptional. I even altered the menu which didn’t alter the speed of the service. Food was absolutely beautiful...especially the rhubarb and strawberry crumble. Yum!!! Coming from a tourist town like Killarney we were well impressed. Credit where it’s due.More

No reservations were required when we were there in April. If I remember correctly, it was Cash Only though.
