Along with serving the best Guinness in Adare Seán Collins & Sons bar also serves a range of local craft beers, a great range of Wines and a large selection of internatinal spirits. The Bar also has a large menu and provided customers with a varied range of food options to suit all tastes. I visited Sean Collins bar on the 15th July 2020.
It was my first meal out following the easing of restrictions here in Ireland following COVID 19.
I felt very safe and protected in the bar as we were seated a great distance from any one else, there was hand sanitiser available on every table in the bar and also all condiments were provided to us in single use sachets.
We also watched as the barman sanitised every menu individually which gave us great confidence in Sean and his staff and that they are eager to welcome their customers back to a safe and clean environment.
I ordered the gluten free fresh cod and homemade chips, it was absolutely delicious - so much so what I did not eat, I brought home with me!!
Everything ordered by my table was beautiful and we couldn’t recommend this restaurant more.
I can not wait to get back to Sean Collins’ Bar.

On a visit to Adare, on a cold miserable Saturday, there is no place more inviting than Collin's. Service was excellent and attentive. The seafood chowder was perfectly executed with lovely brown bread, and washed down with a little Cognac. Nice..

My family and I stayed in Adare Villas during our trip to Ireland, so we went to a fair amount of establishments in the village. Sean Collins' place was by far our favorite. Great food, great drinks, perfect pints. And Sean was so welcoming! He had lots of recommendations for things to do in the area. We came on a Tuesday and Sean said he'd save a place for us on Friday, which is live traditional music night (it fills up!). Sure enough Sean had our table ready for us. Above and beyond. A real highlight of our trip. Highly recommended.

We called in to Sean Collins & Sons Bar for lunch on our way down to Dingle from Dublin and then again on the return trip. Its a perfect place to break the journey. The food is fresh and tasty. Across the two visits we tried the sea bass and salmons specials, fish-cakes & chicken curry - all were delicious. The kids food is freshly cooked and tasty. Staff are super friendly. If I lived in Adare I'd be a weekly visitor.

A very warm welcome at Sean Collins bar and restaurant. We enjoyed a delicious smoked salmon and crab salad and steak and chips. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was excellent. Sean himself was very welcoming.

We stopped in for Lunch after a lovely long hike. My aunt wanted pizza and found Sean’s place. It did not disappoint. A wonderful blend of flavors you won’t find in the states, bacon with sun dried tomatoes and corn, veggie pizza with a touch of pineapple was divine. The 1/2 order fish and chips was delicious and just enough for our daughter. Sean was there and we had a nice chat. Please visit them if you are in the area.

The food is spectacular. We had the fish and chips and the fish just melted away in your mouth. The staff is very friendly and you do not have to wait for your food to be served. It might sound like a simple dish but it is presented beautifully. The live folk music is excellent!!

It is always such a delight to have a meal in Sean Collins' - food cooked to perfection (steak is so good I don't want to eat steak anowhere else!), efficient and friendly service and a warm atmosphere with good tunes playing on the sound system.
It's hands down one of the best addresses in Adare.
Thanks to Sean and team for another delicious dinner tonight - perfect way to celebrate one of my good friend's birthdays. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

My family and I visit Sean Collins pub every year on our way back from holiday in Kerry and it remains a firm favourite. The pizzas and wraps are delicious and there’s always a warm welcome. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on our way back from Kerry, had lovely goat’s cheese salad & they kindly made up a cheese roll for my 7 year old. Lovely kind chap looked after us & the place was spotless clean. Hats off to all staff around the country as it’s not easy working with all the restrictions. Will def stop on our way down next year.

First I need to say, the staff were excellent, very attentive and cleaning at any free moment.
We were there for a late lunch and drinks. We had a starter and main course each, four different items. The food was OK at best, eatable but lacking much flavour and certainly wouldn’t entice us to go back. The Guinness was not bad but a long way from good, I wouldn’t go back for it either.
Again the friendliness and professionalism of the staff made up for the downfalls in the food and drink.

Fantastic food. The food was so good, we ate there four nights in a row and ordered something different each time. They were more than happy to cater to our dietary requirements. We can't recommend it highly enough. We're looking forward to our next trip to Adare.

My wife and I spent an pleasant hour or so with Sean mid-week. He’s a wealth of Irish information, his pints are cold and reasonably priced. His kitchen was closed but his recommendation of his brother’s establishment for a bite was spot on as was his recommendation to tour Malahide as we did later in the week waited for our flight. Enjoyed the visit Sean!

Great atmosphere and food. The folks were friendly and the local musicians invited me to play along with them. They even provided me with a banjo as the fellow playing banjo had an extra one and ran out to his car to get it.

We popped in here on a whim after dinner one evening during our stay at Adare Manor, and boy are we glad we did! It was a quiet night in the pub but we had the nicest evening talking to Sean Collins and some of the other locals. They made us feel incredibly welcome and it was refreshing to get away from some of the more touristy elements of our travels. We had such a great time, we tried to go back the next evening (Tuesday) but they were closed. We had a couple of kids (10 y/o) in tow and they were very welcome.
