Dined there last week. €60 tasting menu was excellent. Server was knowledgeable courteous and very attentive. The temporary location is no match for the Jamestown restaurant where we’ve eaten in the past, however our server explained that the social distancing requirements were impractical there. Highly recommended- only gripe was the Finca Florencia Malbec seemed overpriced at €35.

Visited here for the first time and definitely not the last. Absolutely superb meal and dining experience. Very pleasant and experienced staff along with food prepared by people who understand flavour made this really comfortable restaurant a meal to remember. Can't recommend highly enough.

First meal out since March and what an experience .This is without doubt one of the best restaurants in Ireland.
There were 4 of us so we tried almost every dish on the menu.If this restaurant was in a city anywhere there would be a waiting list and Michelin stars.Incredible value for such a varied ,exciting and perfectly cooked meal served by friendly efficient welcoming staff.Keep it up and wwe will certainly be back again and again

We ate here and had the the set four course menu. The decor is really nice and there was just such a welcoming atmosphere.
Our food was absolutely amazing. We could not fault any part of our meal. We left absolutely full to the brim. The menu price is very reasonable at €50.00 per head and a substantial wine list with a wide range of prices to suit any budget.
One piece of advice for future customers is to make sure you have cash for a tip as you cannot add a tip on the card machine! We will just have to return to tip for the service as it was just that good.
Thank you for a fabulous meal, we both said that it was the best dinner that we have ever had!

Visited last week as a last minute decision passing through Carrick. The restaurant has relocated to a Cafe during Covid, which was a little strange at first (in the middle of a shopping area) but the food made up for it. We had 9 course set menu and every course was delicious. I believe they change every week but for us the seafood and lamb were outstanding.
The tables were separated. The service was great and friendly. We did not get to meet Chef Shah as he left after service, however had a log chat with his brother Lee who was very friendly.
Definitely would think of coming back again when they are back in the original restaurant as I hear its beautiful.
Suggest if you are to stay there longer maybe do better advertising out front of the temporary Cafe as we nearly walked away thinking this cant be a luxury restaurant.

First impressions are very important and on our first visit to this restaurant in October 2022, The Cottage certainly ticked all the boxes for us. Our party of 4 people were 15 minutes early for our 8.30pm booking and on arrival we were greeted by a smiling Lee who immediately assured us he would have us seated within a few minutes which he duly did. The set menu consisted of 4 courses with each having multiple choices and a 5th course of 'sweet bites'. Our chosen meals were just really special in every sense of the word and were probably the best we've ever experienced. Lee and his wonderful staff were continuously attentive to any requirements we had without being intrusive in any way. The courtesy shown to us was a credit to all concerned and for this, we are truly grateful. Our overall experience of The Cottage was way beyond our expectations and no words can describe how wonderful this restaurant is in every way possible. Highly recommended and we cannot wait for our next visit.

Myself and my friend visited the Cottage Restaurant on Sat evening .
From the minute we arrived the Service was Exceptional
But for the food one word to describe it was Amazing
Every Course was Scrumptious the Flavours we just didn’t want it to End .
We came from London as was highly recommended to try the Cottage
On the way out we made it our business to Compliments the Chefs.And informed him Gordon Ramsey could learn a thing or 2 .
We can’t wait to return in 2023

Beautiful meal at The Cottage tonight. Hadn’t been since before pandemic. Lovely 4 course set menu. Excellent value at €50 per person. 2 starters, mains and desert. Every course full of flavour. Very difficult to choose. Chicken tikka and stuffed mushroom starters beautifully flavoured with subtle spices. Hake main course was best hake dish I’ve had. Service highly efficient and staff very friendly. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait for next visit.

We had the most amazing dining experience at The Cottage. From the moment we walked in Lee and Tracy were delightful hosts. The menu choice reflects what is the best seasonal ingredients available. The flavours of Malaysia are subtle but compliment the local produce. The Duck breast was cooked to perfection. The breads were some of the nicest I’ve ever been served. At the end of the meal, Sham, the Chef and proprietor took time to talk about his influences and the story of The Cottages evolution. I could not believe this hidden gem is on my door step.

We’ve been there for Sunday lunch a few times over the years and it’s always been lovely. We decided to try dinner here last Saturday night. The food is absolutely beautiful, presentation was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Everything we heard about this place is true. Lovely venue, attentive, knowledgeable staff, attention to detail and most of all, good food. The cured salmon dish was beautiful. All the dishes were so well put together. Nice selection of mines. While we booked months in advance such is the demand, we have booked gain for next February. 5 star.

Were here at the weekend. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Tables are not packed together which was perfect. There were able to cater for allergies. Food was outstanding. Best meal I have had in years. Five courses so do not eat much before hand. Every course was gorgeous and the flavours outstanding. Well worth visiting. We will definitely return and cannot recommend it enough.
