Menu is limited and that is a really good thing - this place takes excellent locally sourced ingredients and makes them sing! Staff are genuinely nice but professional, and there is a quirkiness to the place - be sure to ask why the buffalo wings get their own spot on the menu!
My tip: order the goats cheese or the tempura/scallops appetisers
You are paying for quality and you won’t regret it.

A group of 6 dined at The Red Bank this evening and what a treat it was. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, we had to wait a couple of minutes to be seated but once we got seated our server Nicola ensured we were well looked after for the evening. The menu had a big local influence and we all tried different starters and mains which all were cooked to perfection and so tasty, they have an amazing cocktail/drinks list too - all in all a wonderful experience offering excellent value in beautiful surroundings with friendly staff;)

My wife, son and I ate at The Red Bank Restaurant this evening, and were very impressed with everything.
Very friendly staff on arrival, with lovely decor and table set-up.
We all had soup of the day to start which was very fresh, and delicious.
My wife and son had the braised beef feather blade and I had the burger. The generous portion of beef was tender and slow cooked to perfection, beautifully accompanied by the potatoes and vegetables. We also get the pricing for the food and drinks was spot on.
We’d highly recommend this restaurant and will go back next time we are in Carrick-on-Shannon.

We were sat In a lovely quiet area we were greeted by very friendly waitresses and were seated before our booked time which was appreciated, they had great choices of food and even had daily specials. We had cocktails which were amazing. I had the venison which was perfectly cooked for main and to start I had the prawn, scallop and blackpudding all the food was cooked to perfection meat cooked exactly how we asked for it to be done. The wait staff were very tentative and we got everything we needed. Could not have been any better

Could not recommend this place highly enough. Recently dined here with a large group, 16 ladies in high spirits! We had our own beautifully appointed dining room. The staff were lovely, dealt with all our requests in a very friendly and professional manner. We were also impressed with the price, very reasonable considering the portion sizes and the quality of food. A special mention to Edel who looked after us le Gaeilge álainn, and Nicola for her professionalism and her attention to detail. Maith Sibh Red Bank!!!

We’ve dined here on numerous occasions and each time the food has been excellent. I was there last weekend and enjoyed the soup as my starter and the bread was phenomenal ( I even got a loaf to bring home) for my mains I enjoyed the fish and chips which was cooked to perfection. The staff were very welcoming and had eye for detail especially our server Rory. All of my family left very full and very happy with the meal we had.

Delightful presentation of food with flavours to match. We ordered two main courses. Vegetarian curry full of different and distinctive flavours. I found the flat bread heavy & sodden; my husband enjoyed it. My husband ordered the chicken supreme which he described a tasteful & again beautifully presented on the plate. The atmosphere was quiet & the physical surroundings felt very comfortable & inviting. staff were polite & friendly. A very enjoyable evening.

We arrived at the restaurant before our time and was seated with no problem, we were taken into the bar area which is a lovely setting and quieter than the main room, which was very much appreciated.
I had the carrot fritters to start and my wife had scallops with king prawns and black pudding, they were amazing. For mains I had the duck and my wife had the specials venison and both were divine, cooked to perfection, just how we like it. And of course we had to finish off with a crumble and lemon pudding, again outstanding and now we're fit to burst. We of course had 2 cocktails each and they were like having a holiday in a glass.
The service was outstanding given to us by Nicola and Nellie, thank you so much for making our evening extra special, it truly was an amazing night, I'm sorry my pictures just doesn't do it justice.

I wanted to write a review for this restaurant as been a vegan I rarely eat out due to menus been so restricted.
On arrival I asked a member of staff could I have just a plain plate of mixed vegetables. To my delight when all the guests were been served they came out with the most gorgeous bowl of green vegetables. In all my days I've never been to a restaurant who took such care to my dietary needs. I will also add that all of the other guests raved about their meals.
I am giving the Red Bank Restaurant a 10 out of 10 from the ambience, the friendly staff to the amazing food. Thank you.

This is a great spot for dinner and some excellent cocktails! This is my 2nd time eating at the restaurant and it really doesn't disappoint.
The menu has a good variety and has something to suit everyone. We had a few picky eaters in our party and they were all really happy with the food, which is always a plus! The food was so good, everyone had clean plates. Each dish was really beautifully presented and tasted great.
Our servers, I think the ladies names were Catherine and Ellie, asked us what the occasion was and we mentioned two birthday celebrations, and at the end they came out with a candle in two of the desserts which was such a nice touch. They were attentive and friendly throughout the whole night, which was great.
The drinks were also delicious. We ordered a few cocktails and everyone raved about how nice they were!
I would highly recommend for any occasion big or small. We will definitely be back!

Enjoyed a beautiful meal with friends. The goats cheese brûlée was fantastic- we savoured every bite. The seafood linguine was equally flavoursome with juicy prawns and mussels cooked to perfection. Our server Catherine was so wonderful, friendly and helpful. She is a credit to the restaurant. We found the food very reasonably priced for the high standard of quality. A terrific experience, would definitely visit again.

We had a faultless meal here this evening. From start to finish the food was tasty, delicious, cooked to perfection and exquisitely presented. The service by Catherine was friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit - we most certainly will be back. I left a message on my dessert plate to demonstrate how I felt after the meal - half of the chocolate “happy anniversary” was left - the “happy” bit 🤩

Visited The Red Bank for lunch last Sunday. Elegant room and lovely ambiance. The menu is extensive and very interesting. I found it hard to make a selection, but was well guided by our server, Sinead.
I had the scallops with pork belly and my husband had the ham hock Bon Bons, both beautifully presented and delicious. I then had the recommended seafood linguine, a nice selection of delicately cooked seafood in a delicious dressing, the bread was too heavy and unnecessary. My husband had the Beef feather blade, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. For dessert we shared the recommended strawberry cheesecake, again, lovely presentation. The Red Bank also serves excellent coffee. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Pino noir from their wine list, which is interesting and reasonably priced.
Both really looking forward to revisiting this restaurant.
