Average chipper style pizza base not made in house from packet as is the case for most chip shops service was ok,,I know business is tough at the moment but doesn't justify prices, setting nice, prices steep for beer perroni 330ml =€6, milano Dublin is...660ml=€6, would I go again NO,More
Had a family meal at Vittos Restaurant recently with the family. From start to finish it was a pleasure. The staff were excellent, the food gorgeous and the covered outdoor space perfectly adapted for the current covid-19 requirements. Pity the courtyard cover doesn't extend further...as it really is one of the best uses of an outdoor space that I've seen. Well done VITTOS, highly recommended to anyone visiting Carrick-on-Shannon.More
Nice starter of peri peri prawns. I ordered the seabass for main, so did my wife who is a ceolaic with no problem, until our meals came out...
First my wife's seabass came out without any sauce what-so-ever, topped with some grilled veg.
Second my...seabass came out with a sauce, that to be honset, soup. Oh by the way it was a sweet potato and herb "sauce" . Everything about it tasted like soup , if I had wanted soup I would of asked for a soup.
On a good note the mashed potato was lovely. They also made a bit of an effort for dessert.
It was not however authentic Italian food, but thank you for the effort and the service.More
I really don’t get the good reviews on this place. It was honestly very poor. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive but aside from that the standard of the food was appalling. We ordered the bruschetta and honestly could have made better better myself....The lasagne was covered in a thick layer of cheese the consistency of chewing gum and the pizza was clearly a frozen pizza they heated up and threw a few toppings on. I did notice also some of the waiters uniforms were dirty and at one point I spotted one of them spitting as he was walking back from the courtyard to the restaurant.
I couldn’t recommend it less, there is an array of much nicer places around. Don’t part with your hard earned money in this exceptionally average restaurant.More
Just finished up eating here. I had a weird feeling about coming to this place. It almost reminded me of those tourist traps abroad. Turns out it was very similar. Prices were too high for the food you got. Won't come back as Carrick has...alot of options. Try the Red Bank restaurant instead. A little pricier but a gulf in class!More
From arrovibg to the restaurant to paying the bill - such a friendly staff, warm atmosphare, excellebt service. When it comes to food - one of the best dinners our family had while trvwlling accross Ireland. Attention to detail is second to none, portion sizes...are so well considered, everybody cleaned their plates inckuding deserts. Cannot recommended it enough! Five stars all the way 👍🏻More
Just visited by chance as there was a last minute cancellation.
It's the last night of a boating weekend and it's by far the best dining experience all week and was a perfect choice to round the week off.
I had the calamari starter which...had a delicious tomato salsa sauce. The sea bass I had for main was exceptionally good.
All other 5 diners in the party, adults and kids, finished and enjoyed all courses which was a first.
My only regret is that I live three and a half hours drive from Carrick on Shannon, however I will definitely visit if I'm ever in the area again.More
