My husband and I went for a lovely meal here. The steak was to die for, the desserts were mouth watering and the wine selection was very well selected. Alice and Julie were great hosts, did everything to make sure we had a great experience...and we will be back again.More
Starter was lovely but ordered a medium cooked steak and it came well done and very charred. Only takes walk-ins but several times people were turned away by being told tables were been held. Yet next couple comes along and offered that free table. Seems...they don’t want families with kids or teenagers. Other were told at about 6 pm to some back at 7:30 for the next sitting. When they returned at 7:30 they were told no more sittings as the kitchen was closing at 8. Very odd and disappointing to hear.More
Absolutely superb! The science and thought that goes behind the food in this establishment is exciting! We ordered to share and all three of us at the table were extremely impressed. Wine food and staff here are a something that needs to be cherished ....Thank youMore
Overpriced. Had the scallops for starters it came out on a shell which was black and the scallops were overcooked and in eatable. The popcorn chicken was also overcooked. The John Dorey main course was dry had no taste and had no sauce. Very expensive...and disappointing.More
We were so pleased to have found this gem. The steak was stunning, the fish was great and the service was friendly and efficient. Lovely outdoor seating on a beautiful little street. These guys are playing a blinder!
If you’re looking for an excellent meal look no further than Finn’s Farmcut in Kinsale.
Whenever we’re looking to enjoy a nice meal out Finns is a top choice for us. The food is always fresh and the service is great here.
The steaks are...cooked in “Bertha” a one of a kind charcoal oven which gives the steaks an excellent flavor.
The menu changes from time to time but we highly recommend the Rib Eye’s, Sticky Ribs, and Popcorn Chicken. There are really too many good things on the menu to taste. Also make sure you save room for dessert if you’re up for a special treat!More
Went to Finns for the first time the other week - twice actually! In a town with good competition Finns stood out for having a slightly different menu ie steak & kidney pie STARTER!! On the first visit, we had the S&K and scallops starter....Both were excellent. We then had 2 x ‘surf & turf’. The scampi was a good as I have had anywhere. However, the two fillet steaks , while nice (with some additional seasoning) were not cooked as requested. Still very enjoyable & edible. All washed down with an excellent valpolicealla Ripasso (this was better than many more expensive Amarone). Followed by 2 x baked Alaska, coffees etc etc. The seating & general Covid protocols were all fully followed and were as unobtrusive as possible. The service was friendly & first class- to the point that one of the surf & turfs was removed from the bill - in spite of our protestations. As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating- in spite of the numerous other restaurants in the town (most known to us) & plans to go somewhere else the following night - we went back to Finns!! Although not on the menu I asked for the scampi as a starter & 2x steak & kidney for main plus the Ripasso. Our choices ran out @ c. €120 a head (inc 2x bottles of wine). Expensive for sure - but a nice variation from the normal, excellent food and good service adds up to value in my book. On my next visit to Kinsale I am likely to head to Finns!! It is clearly advisable to book for Finns unless you want to dine early or late.More
