Booked this restaurant for a Thursday night and when we arrived we were shown upstairs to our table. All the usual COVID restrictions were fully enforced and we had a booth which was very cozy. Our server was excellent and efficient and given she was on her own upstairs and the restaurant was busy she spent enough time explaining the menu. We ordered a bottle of the 3 wooly sheep Sauvignon blanc and it was great value and really suited the food . I had the Cod and it was one of the best fish cookery I have had in a long time. We had the chocolate tort to finish it was warm and tasted Devine. Great service and excellent food and at a good price. Well worth a visit we can’t wait to return for some more delicious food.

Exceptional service! The moment we arrived from start to finish Diane our hostess was the hostess with the mostess! Kia royal to start with while we waited
For our wine to chill a little 😜 we shared a
Delicious pâté starter with sliced sourdough discs and pickled onion ... divine! I had the pork chop and pork belly .. out of this world, my sister had the hake, just delicious . Dessert was lemon posset and flourless chocolate cake, both heavenly . Finished the night with a cheeseboard selection . I’m starving myself again so I can return soon! We had seating upstairs which I would recommend as it was bright and spacious, it you want a more intimate surroundings downstairs would suit best. Will certainly return sooner than later. 5 🌟

4 of us had dinner at this lovely restaurant on the Wednesday of Kinsale Restaurant Week. Lovely atmosphere and busy at 6 o'clock. 22 euro for 2 courses or 27 euro for three courses - great value. Choice of about 4 starters and 4 mains. We had the smoked salmon starter and the mussels - very good. The brown bread that is served is gorgeous. Other options were pate or soup. For mains the fish pie was very tasty with nice side salad. Those who opted for the pork chop and beef were also very happy. We didn't have dessert. Nice wine and beer as well. I would have no hestitation going back.

We were so lucky to be able to make a reservation for dinner on a Saturday night (we got the last two places).
The food and service was outstanding. I had the soup of the day (sweet potato) followed by roasted monkfish; my dining companion had a very generous portion of pate followed by steak. All we perfectly prepared and delicious.
Good, sensible Covid precautions in place.
Treat yourself and dine here... but make sure you book well in advance!

Easy to book and good communication prior to our visit.
Great menu, very professional & friendly staff.
We shared the Camembert starter, extra bread being no problem at all. The mussels (although small & only to be expected at this time of year) were really tasty and were served in what felt like a bottomless bowl.
We would definitely recommend eating here!

We had starters of paté, that was served in a glass container, and was very average, and Oysters that were fine, served with a nice shallot and vinegar dressing. Main course fish was ok, but he accompanying potato gave the impression of having sat for far too long in the kitchen and had dried out. While service from the very pleasant and friendly Moroccan waiter was excellent, I didn’t feel it the meal was good value for money.

The Supper Club is a MUST when visiting Kinsale! The owner, Tom, is extremely personable and makes every effort to ensure you have the best experience possible. I am gluten free and vegan, and I was able to have a three-course meal which I can never do while traveling. Tom went out of his way to accommodate my food allergies. I am the only one in my family with these dietary restrictions, and everyone in my group agreed that it was one of our best meals in Ireland. Amazing meal and an even more amazing atmosphere. 1000% recommend!

I booked the supper club my sister's hen party and was blown away by the service. From the moment I booked Tom went above and beyond to ensure that the group was catered for. The service and food on the night were both exceptional and several of the guests commented on how attentive the service was. I would highly recommend dining at the supper club, it was an all round fabulous experience for my group.

Got in at the last minute and had our meal at the bar. Watching the cocktails being made whilst having a great dinner was a bonus.Staff all great fun and food was of a high quality. Would go back again if we could

This is the first time I have ever left a review in my life. I just had to leave this for what I can only describe as my restaurant next door. Yes privileged enough to live in the heart of Kinsale with too many to mention amazing eating and dining experiences like fishy fish, Finns table, cru, the black pick, blue haven, and many more on my doorstep. I booked tonight an Impromptu table for two with my partner, Dinner at the supper club, what an amazing evening and as always the service was top class. We started with the perfect whiskey sour (from cocktail and bar manager merio forgive the spelling) and knowing the menu was keen to hear the fish special which is always designed around the freshest of local ingredients and brought together by The kitchen team led by Martin. Tonight we had the monk fish with a mushroom and leek sauce and my partner had the steak with a personal obsession of mixing the peppercorns sauce with garlic butter. We shared we enjoyed. The food was off the planet. Simple approach with respect and tribute to the ingredients, without question however was the pepper sauce. It was traditional but with a beef depth of flavour that you would only get from the most considered and well reduced due, it was perfect. The atmosphere in the supper club is cosmopolitan chic yet local and friendly. The perfect combination. What an amazing evening. I would recommend the supper club every day of the week. They really know how to deliver not just great food but an amazing experience. Thank you Tom and Grainne x

Recently ate at the Supper Club while staying in Kinsale. I have been in the restaurant and catering business in New York for 35 years and every bit the snob that comes with that. The supper club can go toe to toe with any restaurant in New York. Food has depth, variety, complexity of flavors and the staff know what they are doing. Tried chicken wings out of curiosity. Lived in Buffalo for 4 years in college. Their wings are as good as any you will find in Buffalo and the steaks would stand up to any New York steak house charging 3 times the price. Kinsale is full of good restaurants, but don't miss this one!

I with a group of friends who all agreed that the starters were fantastic. The main courses were very very poor, thrown together along with every plate the server put on the table. The service was just terrible the worsted we have ever experienced. Never to return...

Had the most delicious food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Starters were divine, aubergine fritters were delicious as were the wings. Steak cooked perfectly as ordered and the pork belly was melt in the mouth . Deserts were gorgeous. Service was impeccable, could not fault anything it was a perfect meal , def recommend.

Had a fabulous meal in this fabulous restaurant. Was a little apprehensive going out for dinner with regards to social distancing. I needn’t have worried. So well organised and I just loved the individual booths upstairs which gave everyone their own privacy and space. The staff were so respectful, friendly and helpful. The food was Devine and the three of us loved every bite of what we had. Congrats on your reopening 👍

We were upstairs in The Supper Club, which was fine, preferred to downstairs which seemed quite busy. As we like, we ordered starters and small plates to share. The standard, off the menu risotto, the baked Camembert, and the mussels, with the twice cooked chips. Everything was delicious, and couldn’t be faulted. Servers were exceptionally attentive, being there when you needed them. Loved our meal and would definitely go back.
