On Saturday the 3rd of October, My friends and I were going to the Courtyard for dinner for fears we would have another lockdown. We all got dressed up as we were so looking forward to our meal. we got to the courtyard 5 minutes...before our booking and waited to be seated. A woman came out and we told her we had a booking for the table at 7. She told us she would be right with us with our table which we had no problem waiting a few extra minutes to be seated. anyway about 10 minutes later She came back to us then quietly and very privately took us away from the waiting area and told us that she had double booked our table, and that she had saw our name on the books but wasn't sure if we were coming or not(which does not make any sense because we had BOOKED the table). She also told us that she tried to tell us that she had rang me several times which was a complete and utter lie as i had no missed calls or any indication that she had tried to ring me. We asked her if she could do anything for us and we were willing to wait for another table and she said no and turned us away. So the four of us were given no satisfaction and were left out in clonakilty town in the COLD AND DARK. We had to order a take away Chinese and eat it our of our laps in Asana square. The next day i rang and told the manager how disappointed i was with their service and she had the AUDACUITY to tell me that i would have been able to wait for a table if we asked which we had. WILL NOT GO HERE AGAIN. I would highly recommend Casey's bar which is just up town instead of this place!More

We booked a table for evening dinner and when we arrived they told us they had called me back to re conform but this was a lie, I didn’t get any call and they had cancelled our booking. When in fact they knew we were...coming.We had to go else where in the freezing cold. When we called back The next day and they told us that we could’ve had a seat if we asked but Even though we already asked them that the night before and they declined. They then contradicted Themselves saying they called us multiple times and afterwards saying they couldn’t find my number even though I gave it to them when I made the reservation. This is a complete and utter joke and I will not be going here again.More

I live in Clonakilty and last Wednesday was my first time eating here and boy will I be back. I had the salmon special along with fries and a sex on the beach and everything was amazing. The atmosphere was great, they had dividers up,...everyone was spaced out and our waitress made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. Really great experience!More

Really enjoyed dinner in The Courtyard Bar on a Wednesday evening in late September. The bar is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, good distance between tables, screens in place and staff following all the Covid-19 guidance. Well done! It was a nice atmosphere and...the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great, I highly recommend the buttermilk chicken burger.More

Visited here on Sept 2nd with family after my uncle happened upon it while walking. Our staycation had begun to feel like a waste of time until we found this place. We were received with a warm greeting and immediately we felt relaxed once seated...inside. We had the friendliest lady serve us, Niamh, she really did make the night for us. Lovely friendly banter, the food was beautiful the interior is fresh and modern with lovely exposed beams, there is ample well spaced out seating and a lovely outside seating area. If we find ourselves back in Clonakilty we will definitely be back to the Courtyard. Thank you to Niamh and staff for making our visit worthwhile (from the Cork/Wexford bunch) 😁More

Had a lovely family meal. Food was exceptional and wine excellent. The whole experience was lovely and we couldn’t believe the value for the quality we received. In these strange times it felt very normal. Thanks for a fabulous night.

Where do I start! A friend of mine had being at this restaurant and recommended it to us. So I rang in advance to book a table and they were very pleasant on the phone. When we arrived the waitress kindly asked us to sanitize...our hands and showed us to our table. All tables were spaced out and all staff were waiting face coverings. We ordered drinks and food. Both drinks and food were very tasty. Their desserts are delicious. They had a great system when it came to Social distancing when going to the bathroom. When the toilets were occupied the lights outside the bathroom would turn red and when they were free they would turn green. Never have seen this anywhere! They also have foot holders installed at the bottom of each door so you can open the doors without touching the door handles! Amazing! We got chatting to Niamh and she very friendly. We had a great chat with her. I asked her for a cocktail and she made up her own concoction and it was Devine! I had one more after that. The owner himself came down and introduced himself. He sat down and we chatted. He showed us the smoking area which they have done up recently and it was very nice. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning when I’m down their again.More
