Waited 40 mins for a breakfast. When it did arrive the plate was roasting and the food was cold. Brought it to the waiters attention and were asked did we want to order again. We kindly declined and left. Great waste of an hour!

We got to the restaurant at 1210. We were given the breakfast and lunch menu. When we went to order, the server advised we could only order breakfast as the lunch kitchen wouldn’t be open until 1230. I said ok I’ll go for a walk...and come back, server insisted we get a coffee and as soon as it turned 1230 she would take our order. Reluctantly ordered a coffee. 1230 she came back saying lunch kitchen wouldn’t open until 1pm. Complete waste of time and cost of a coffee. We could have gone somewhere else in the first instance and been on our way.More
Stopped here for a coffee & slice of cake each. Lovely sunny location to sit & watch people & traffic. 1 star removed as toilets needed a bit of TLC. Would revisit if in the area.
Excellent food and service was superb, especially Alex. Goats cheese plate and a toasted tuna sandwich were excellent. Lovely sunny staff and location!
Poor menu choice. I chose the toasted tuna/cheese sandwich at €9. What arrived was edible but small, accompanied by a few bland crisps. No lettuce or side salad, and not including tea or coffee.
Dropped in for lunch with three friends on a very cold and wet day in Clonakilty when Southern Ireland was being hit by a cold blast. Only wanted something light and I settled for a simple soup and sambo combo. Well let me tell you...the soup was thick and tasty but a simple toasted special turned out to be one of the tastiest sandwiches I have ever hard. It was absolutely delicious. The other two had the combo too, one with Clonakilty Bla and the other with a tuna melt. The fourth had the pâté with toast and everyone was equally delighted with what they had. I would highly recommend Arís to anyone and would encourage you to go there, plus it’s very reasonably priced too. Well done to the staff of Arís. It was a pleasure.More
Nice spot especially when weather is dry and warm and you sit outside. Good cappuccino and very nice cinnamon bun when heated and with cream!
We ordered a sandwich, tea, and a glass of wine. The waitress came to the table twice to confirm the wine (I had already said the name and physically pointed to it on the menu) and one separate time to ask which sandwich we had...ordered. Seemingly untrained or maybe just uninterested. The Sandwich was mainly mayonnaise and served with cheap ready salted crisps. It's a nice seating area but not worth a visit. Greeting staff were friendly when seating us.More
I went here twice for hot chocolates and scones while visiting Clonakilty. Their hot chocolates are lovely and their orange scones are amazing
Delicious lunch, simple, well-prepared and presented well. Lovely fresh cakes, hard to choose just one! Seating upstairs and outside perfect for watching the world go by.
Excellent food & coffee - we had really delicious sandwiches. Note to parents - they don’t have a high chair or baby changing facilities in the bathroom.
Lovely outside area if it's sunny, the food was nice, but service was incredibly slow. Bore witness to an elderly couple being turned away for indoor dining because the woman forgot to bring her vaccination cert, the young girl who was standing at the door...asking for the cert was enjoying it a bit too much as far as I could see. So wrong.More
Lovely coffee.. Great sweet treats... Pity I couldn't sit inside with husband and daughter as my hse vaccination card wasnt sufficient proof of Jab. Out under the brolly in the rain for me nearly 9 months pregnant 🤔.
On a sunny afternoon, Arís offers a nice little spot to sit for a coffee, if you can manage to get a table! Feels like a little Mediterranean café when the sun is out. Unfortunately, the menu is limited at the moment with no substantial...food on offer, but they have good coffee, and a nice slice of cake! Service is prompt, I haven't experienced the unfriendliness or delays that other reviewers mention. They also provide hand sanitizer on every table, and the tables are well spaced out, compared to many other places.More
