Dined here last Saturday night. After receiving a warm welcome, we had pre-dinner drinks in the bar where the owners sister informed us bout the sights and sounds of West Cork. Dinner was fabulous from the breaded scampi starter to monkfish and monkfish & black...sole special, the food is fantastic. Nice selection of wines to accompany the meal. So impressed, booked it for another two evenings on our week long stay in West Cork.More

If you are anywhere in the vicinity of Mountain House, just outside Clonakilty, you must book a visit. An inspired chef, a brilliant front of house team and a fantastic location. What more needs to be said - except maybe try the Katafi Monkfish -...totally amazing! The steaks are pretty good too! No wonder the reviews both professional and visitor led are incredible.More

During our two weeks in West Cork we managed to eat here a few times and it was fantastic every time. We were three generations of family and all of us loved it. The staff are fantastic but special mention has to go to Danny...and Margaret who went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Their wonderful friendly West Cork added to our experience. We were worried about eating out with my parents and i must say we shouldn't have the marquee set up was great and we had a few memorable meals. Thanks and i look forward to visiting again!More

The food was fabulous . Monkfish was delicious. The tent eating outdoor was cosy. A bit remote yet worth it. I would come again . Toilets could do with a bit more attention

We dined here a few nights ago and what a fabulous experience. We were late booking and the girls booked us in on short notice. Food was amazing, steaks, brie, fish & chips. Desserts were so tasty too. Service great, staff very friendly and a...fantastic atmosphere as we dined outdoors. Lots of fluffy, comfy blankets too to keep us warm. Thanks so much, we'll be back again soon!More

Definitely one of the nicest and tasty meals out this year. It’s a bit of a trek outside Clonakilty but worth the drive. Handy for us as we stayed in Mountain Forge Campsite which was only 20 mins walk. The food was gorgeous, generous portions...and the service couldn’t be faulted. Guinness is also excellent!! Brilliant outdoor seating area to protect you from the elements and no issue bring our Golden Retriever. Overall, it’s a gem and bit to be passed.More
