Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In the same building as the bar and gift shop at the old Jameson’s distillery (the Jameson Experience, now). Very pleasant place with a nice menu. It took us awhile to get menus but then service was lovely. We both had the fish cakes and...they were fantastic.More

Be sure to eat in the restaurant adjoining the distillery. Great seafood chowder and Irish Bread while sipping on your Jameson Scotch.

The food is as good as the Irish Whiskey. If you decide to have the Fish Chowder, ask about the sizes. The Starter is a large bowl with fresh bread on the side. The Entre version is a small pond with a fresh water shark...swimming in it. It is really big.More

Eat here even if you do the Distillery tour or not. Jameson has the best food (i have eaten here and in Dublin) by far. The seafood chowder was fantastic, so was the roast pork, pulled pork sandwich and the chicken pot pie. Everything was...delicious and pipping hot. The drinks were exceptional, too.More

We came to Midleton for a tour of the Jameson distillery, and wasn't too sure where to have lunch, so we chose to eat at the restaurant, which turned out to be a great decision. The restaurant is in a lovely setting & a great...place for lunch. The staff were very friendly & also allowed us to try a couple of whiskeys which we could have on the tour. The food is really tasty & reasonably priced. The seafood chowder & the pulled pork was great, would recommend to anyone coming to the distillery.More

Had the seafood chowder and chicken strips with chips. With our “free” Jameson whiskey drinks we sat in the café and had a great lunch. Chowder was thick and delicious. Very good chicken and chips. Fast service with a smile!

Service was great, but the fish and chips were not. I'd planned to eat again after my tour, but discovered that they closed at 3:00. Hard to grab a bite after a 2:00 pm tour.

Pretty standard pub with decent food. Service was good, but the fish n chips were pretty boring. I was hoping for slightly better food after spending a few hours touring the distillery.

Had lunch here before our tour, gets busy, and when we were there it was day 1 for the new tills, so things took a little longer, but we made our tour on time. staff member Melissa was very helpful as our waitress, and went...out of her way to make sure we made our tour, ( and it was her 1st day as a waitress in the restaurant ).More

Read the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to have lunch at the Malt House. Reviews were spot on. Good food but poor service. It was not that busy but it took a long time to get our food. Questions about menus items were met with..." I don't know". Not a game breaker but not a good indicator.More

Really friendy staff, food was lovely and just a nice vibe throughout. A tall dark haired lady (think it was alice) came over to our table and explained she had kids/babys of her own and made a great fuss our little 14 month old. She...then realised we still had drinks to finish after our meal so kindly took our baby for a walk around the restaurant so we could finish our drinks in peace ! Spot on, thank you - we will be back !!!!More
