Looks beautiful from the outside, but we had a bad experience. We ordered lunch for 4adults/4kids, we waited 30mins for the food to arrive after ordering. Staff were friendly but seemed quite busy. The glasses were filthy, we asked for clean glasses and the waitress...never brought back any. One of the kids Fantas had dried out sprinkles floating on top of it, they were stuck to the glass probably from the dishwasher. We sent back the kids chicken goujons, the breaded crumbs were dark brown like they were over cooked, they looked revolting, the waitress said there was a problem with the oil in the fryer! I didn't receive my order of a salad but I didn't bother saying anything, I couldn't wait to get to out of the place. The pizza was very nice and 2 of the salads just ordinary nothing special. Brown bread was very nice. We had ordered beer on tap but the keg had to be changed and staff couldn't figure out how to do same. Basics like clean glasses are a must these days during a pandemic. Chicken goujons should not be hard to get right! We were lucky we checked the bill as we were charged for the beer and salad. They kindly deducted the kids soft drinks as a token. A pity to write a bad review as I know, restaurants struggled badly last year. Definitely won't be eating there again.More
Visited while on family break in Middleton. Staff were so friendly. Excellent food, very reasonably priced. We were delayed because of late taxi but called ahead and no problem. Owner even called us taxi to return to our hotel. Will definitely be back.
Discovered this restaurant as we drove around Midleton, looked lovely so we decided to go in, we were not disappointed, the portions are huge, you will not leave here hungry, there is a great mix on the menu of Italian and Irish food, I got...chicken and mushroom pasta and it came with garlic bread and my boyfriend had a mixed grill, the staff were lovely, very friendly and kept coming back to check if everything was ok, very reasonably priced would be great for families holidaying in the areaMore
Went here last Sat evening - couldn't have been looked after better by Linda - exceptional hostess, great to see an owner having such hands on participation. Each of us were looked after, nothing was too much, especially for my father who can be a...fussy eater.
Food wise, the menu is quite extensive, something for everyone - very tasty, well made food, very reasonably priced, looking forward to going back!More
We were in Midleton to visit the Jameson Distillery and wanted a light bite of lunch. We were delighted to find La Trattoria and got a warm welcome from our server who was both friendly and efficient - I had the Avocada Salad and my...wife had the Caesar Salad - portion size was great and we both really enjoyed dining outdoors on a lovely day (indoor dining was possible too). There was a very varied clientele from youngsters to senior citizens. Apart from the bistro style menu they also serve a carvery style lunch which seemed to be proving popular with the locals. We would certainly visit La Trattoria again!More
Pizza the worst my husband ever had. My chicken was overcooked and my daughters dinner was swimming in oil. My son’s burger was ok, but came with cheese with he specifically asked not to be included. Service was very good, but food not good
Don't come here if you want to eat, shocking service wouldn't recommend to anyone. We booked a table and waiting over 20 mins didn't get a menu or even get to order drinks so we left. Got served in the Italian across the street and...ordered and got drinks within 10 mins..More
