Superb experience

Thank you to all the wonderful staff who so kindly accommodated us yesterday evening (Sunday, 24/11/24). We were leaving Cork City and we rang ahead to make a booking for 7.15pm but we were delayed for sometime when we left Lissarda, we rang to explain and he so kindly advised us to order our food explaining to us what was on and not on the menu. Overall, fantastic hospitality, excellent service and food. Great finish to the day.

Very good lunch.

Stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Very friendly, efficient and well dressed staff. We had the beef roast and a beef lasagna, both were generous portions, well presented and were very, tasty. Normally would not have a desert but was tempted by the trifle with a coffee. Competitively priced, nice decor, clean and tidy, overall pleasant visit, I would definitely visit again.

I highly recommend the chicken and vegetable curry it’s a good portion size and reasonably priced. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Eileen while I was getting my takeaway she was a very welcoming and friendly woman. I will definitely be going back again next week for more!

Filthy looks from staff for breastfeeding

Received filthy looks from hostess for breastfeeding my baby. Ruined the experience. One good thing was that one staff member asked if I'd prefer to move to a more comfortable (private) place to sit and eat, whether it was because he felt embarrassed for me I'm not sure, but it was kinder than the awful looks the older female staff member gave me and my mother. Come on Ireland, we've come a long way, don't let the progress end. And it was National Breastfeeding Week!!! Get a grip people. Food was average. Had the chicken goujon wrap, and honestly I've had tastier ones from petrol station delis

Such a good experience

November 26th Was out with the family today and decided to call into the auld triangle after hearing great things. We were served by this lovely young gentleman who couldn’t be any older than 16 but he was so very polite and was more then willing to get us whatever we wanted it amazed us. The food was delicious and was melting in our mouths. We ordered chocolate cake which by far was some of the best cake i have ever had. 100% will be coming back. Great staff and even greater food.

My husband & I have just stopped for lunch in the Auld Triangle. I am incredibly impressed with not just the generous portions of pub food but with the quality of the food as well. Moreover, I was not just taken with the wonderful service we received but also with how the older male staff treated the elderly. Well done lads, the kindness you showed to an elderly lady while we were there is truly remarkable. Well done on all fronts, food, service and hospitality. You ticked all the boxes for us.

Amazing takeaway food & service, a real gem!

My wife and I recently had takeaway from the Auld Triangle in Macroom. Due to Level 5 restrictions, dine in options were not available, however, a full takeaway menu was provided. The choice on the menu was great. We rang in our order and spoke with a lovely gentleman on the phone who gave us some tips about his favourite dishes. I went with the Thai Red Prawn Curry while my wife had the Beef Burger. We also got two cheescakes for dessert. We collected the food from the Auld Triangle and enjoyed the meal at home. A lovely staff member brought the food out to the car when we parked outside. It was a very safe contactless way of getting takeaway. Both dishes were piping hot, gorgeous, full of flavour and large portions! The desserts were great also, two big slices. It was definitely the perfect option for a Saturday night at home after a week of cooking. It was out first time getting takeaway from the Auld Triangle and would highly recommend it. Hopefully we can book a table for dine in December when Covid restrictions ease.

Excellent takeaway food

We're a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) so it can be difficult to find a takeaway option to suit the entire family. We live near the Auld Triangle so decided to try the takeaway option as we had heard some great reviews for neighbours. We checked the menus online and then rang in our order for collection.There was loads of choice for us and the kids. The food was really delicious and the portions were large. Everything was so fresh. The order and collection system was well operated and we paid by card over the phone which was convenient. Top class all around and we'll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing

Was seated by a girl called Aoife. She looked after us so well and made sure we had everything, excellent service, really cosy place to eat. Really enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious 😋had the burger and chocolate cake 10/10 for both, will definitely be back, very accommodating and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for better, Thanks 😊

Very rude female staff member

I found this experience to be unsatisfactory. The lady at the front of house was extremely rude unhelpful. She was unprofessional, so much so that we left without eating. In saying all this there was a very helpful younger man working there. I will not be returning.

Valentines weekend a beautiful meal

My fiancé and I visited the auld triangle for dinner and drinks last Saturday. It was spectacular as always . The staff are so kind , so helpful. The food is to die for . You will not be disappointed if you decide to stop by and have something to eat

With the difficult times we are in, a nice & tasty takeaway can provide a great mood-lifter and that's exactly what myself and my partner received from our take away from The Auld Triangle. Living close to Macroom, we decided to try the take away service the restaurant is providing. We rang in our order to collect. The menu online is clear and concise with plenty to chose from. My girlfriend had the Thai Prawn curry and I had the prime beef burger which was delicious and filling. We also treated ourselves to the cheesecake which was divine. The staff were very polite over the phone and were great to deal with upon our arrival to collect making for an all-round great experience. Already looking forward to our next takeaway from there!

Same menu, tasty but boring

The menu never changes it's been the same menu since reopening after covid. There specials sometimes but it really could do with regular menu changes. The food is good here, predictable but tasty. They are friendly. We ordered and two things were forgotten. Lots of young staff could do with more training. The prices are expensive for what it is.

Treatment of staff and customers

Went to the Auld Triangle with my friend last week. Food and young staff members were fantastic but the lady with dark hair who seemed to be the owner of the establishment was constantly giving out to the younger staff members in front of us which honestly ruined the vibes for us. Those staff members seemed visibly bothered but continued to be fantastic workers. Is staff welfare important in this place?

Good reliable pub food and great staff

We've gone for dinner here twice in the past couple of months and it has been consistently good. The mains and the desserts have been top-notch every time - and that is between four people on each occasion. The staff are excellent and always helpful. The decor and layout is not the best, particularly the area between the bar and the toilets (I would refuse a table there), and it could definitely do with a refreshing, but that's only cosmetics. The food more that makes up for it. Looking forward to the next visit.
