Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

November 26th Was out with the family today and decided to call into the auld triangle after hearing great things. We were served by this lovely young gentleman who couldn’t be any older than 16 but he was so very polite and was more then...willing to get us whatever we wanted it amazed us. The food was delicious and was melting in our mouths. We ordered chocolate cake which by far was some of the best cake i have ever had. 100% will be coming back. Great staff and even greater food.More

I have been here twice recently with my young baby and elderly mum. Both times have been a 10/10. The food is excellent and so reasonably priced. The service is wonderful. Such lovely and kind staff made the visit special for my mum who is...not well. Thank you so much.More

My husband & I have just stopped for lunch in the Auld Triangle. I am incredibly impressed with not just the generous portions of pub food but with the quality of the food as well. Moreover, I was not just taken with the wonderful service...we received but also with how the older male staff treated the elderly. Well done lads, the kindness you showed to an elderly lady while we were there is truly remarkable. Well done on all fronts, food, service and hospitality. You ticked all the boxes for us.More

Salmon was beautiful! I asked for more veg instead of potatoes and got it. Good variety and gorgeous desserts. Very friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Homely atmosphere and tvs to follow the match- perfect Sunday afternoon. One thing though: they used to...have the most amazing salad with potato cubes, black pudding and rashers which was to die for. Disappeared during tough times with Covid. Would LOVE to get that back: Dan Farmers Salad.More

The menu never changes it's been the same menu since reopening after covid. There specials sometimes but it really could do with regular menu changes. The food is good here, predictable but tasty. They are friendly. We ordered and two things were forgotten. Lots of...young staff could do with more training. The prices are expensive for what it is.More

On the way home from cork with the family and decided to stop for dinner with our kids one of which is gluten and lactose free. We managed to get a seat and as we did we asked the friendly waitress if we could get...the gluten-free option, she did not know if there was one, so went to check. 😒 Came back and said there was the option of a salad and steak 😳 for the child. Or cottage pie with mash. So very disappointed with the lack of options available here. So word to the wish best avoid if you have a goin your party that is a celiac. In this day and age there should be more options available. So we left and headed for the mills inn in BallyvourneyMore

What can I say - amazing. Everything I ordered was beautiful. I ordered the roast turkey and it was gorgeous! Staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Id recommend ringing ahead to book a table with covid restrictions. Well worth the visit.

With the difficult times we are in, a nice & tasty takeaway can provide a great mood-lifter and that's exactly what myself and my partner received from our take away from The Auld Triangle. Living close to Macroom, we decided to try the take away...service the restaurant is providing. We rang in our order to collect. The menu online is clear and concise with plenty to chose from. My girlfriend had the Thai Prawn curry and I had the prime beef burger which was delicious and filling. We also treated ourselves to the cheesecake which was divine. The staff were very polite over the phone and were great to deal with upon our arrival to collect making for an all-round great experience. Already looking forward to our next takeaway from there!More

We're a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) so it can be difficult to find a takeaway option to suit the entire family. We live near the Auld Triangle so decided to try the takeaway option as we had heard some great reviews...for neighbours. We checked the menus online and then rang in our order for collection. There was loads of choice for us and the kids. The food was really delicious and the portions were large. Everything was so fresh. The order and collection system was well operated and we paid by card over the phone which was convenient. Top class all around and we'll definitely be back!More

My Partner and I enjoyed a delicious roast beef dinner with all the trimmings yesterday. It was a lovely treat to have the day off cooking! We phoned in our order, the staff were so lovely to deal with and on arrival at the premises...there was plenty signage to navigate through the bar safely. I would highly recommend The Auld Triangle for takeaway. Delighted to support local!More
