Friendly staff. Food is okay but choice limited to mostly deep fried with chips. There are loads of much better places to eat in the town but this is not bad for pub grub. Sharp intake of breath when the bar bill arrived though, expensive...even for Malahide.More

A nice downtown Malahide village pub. Great beers and great conversations. I dropped in to watch a match and drink a Guinness. Good walking town and a beautiful seaside village.

Great spot, is always the go to place in Malahide. Can be difficult to find somewhere to sit down snd the outside could do with a jet wash, but still the best place in town.

My husband and I had a wonderful night at Gibneys. We were warmly welcomed by Darran at the bar and promptly served. It’s a beautiful old style pub. Gibneys looks tiny but the pub extends way back- there’s a beer garden out back that must...be lovely on spring & summer evenings. Warm friendly staff, great atmosphere & lots of different beers to choose from. Thank you Darran for a fun evening- We will definitely be back!More

3 Scots & 3 Irish went to the 6 nations game and returned to Malahide as we were staying in the town. We came back to watch the final match found seats and ordered food which everybody enjoyed, so they told me. The atmosphere was...electric and it felt I was back home in my local in Scotland. This was the only time I will ever hear a bar of Irish cheering on an English team. The service was quick, the prices pretty good and the staff having the patience of saints. The crack was brilliant and everybody spoke and a laugh with us, or possibly laughing at me. I can only thank the couple, 2 girls and the patience of 3 ladies for putting up with us, and making our night special with their company, it was the icing on the cake. Here's to coming back in a couple of years time.More

I have been to Gibney's Pub in Malahide Dublin many times over the years its always good. Its a family run business that has retained the magical atmosphere. It offers good food, music and crack what more do you need at a fair price.

This is a review of a week's visits to Gibneys. Staff always friendly and attentive- no matter how busy it is, as soon as you appear at the bar, there's a member of staff asks to take your order. They'll bring your drink to the...table for you if you want. Polite, helpful, attentive staff, friendly welcoming atmosphere- it's all a pub should be.More

We went to Gibneys last evening for a drink. We know this pub well and have visited many times. However, they are very remiss when it comes to checking for vaccines certs and wearing of masks. We were not asked for our certs, our phone...numbers or anything else that pubs are suppose to ask for. Needless to say we left. These pub owners are the people that are moaning about being asked to close early and still they have no concern for the health of their customers. STAY AWAY if you want to be sure you are not associating with others who have the virus. Dreadful attitude by the owners of this pub. Shame on you.More
