Had a quick spot of food here with the family before lunch. It always has a lively atmosphere and is usually quite busy, but you'll generally get a table straightaway or only have to wait a few minutes at most. There is a great selection on the menu. Plenty of breakfast choices, quality sandwiches, full lunches and blackboard specials. I particularly like the salads though as they are very substantial. My personal favourite is the Asian duck salad. The flavours are out of this world and portion size is very generous. Delicious crispy duck, sesame seeds, mango, coriander, nuts. They have a nice range of healthy options too. The staff are very friendly and service is good. Overall it is a cosy atmosphere with local artists work on the wall. A great place for breakfast or lunch.

The omelette was custom made and just the right texture - waitron said can-do to all
Smoked salmon, cheese, mushrooms
Everyone at our table was poking their forks in my plate .
Pancakes cooked just right and pralines from another item were added.
Well worth the 6 Km side trip from the airport layover.

I just love their Eggs Benedict it’s always really tasty, and if you don’t want a full breakfast their scones with jam and cream are also delicious.
The staff are so friendly and are always happy to look after any request you might have.
It’s my go to place every day.

The goat cheese salad itself was also cooked, I think it’s been a few days out. There is no bread with the goat cheese, which is not typical of how this dish is usually served in France.
Traditionally, a salad with hot goat cheese includes the cheese on toast, which was missing here.
For a salad already at 15.5€, I was surprised to have to pay an additional 2.5€ for bread, especially after waiting for it to arrive after the salad had already been served. It needs time for the frozen bread to get hot I guess…
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. It’s not French cuisine and certainly not the one from the Provence.

The nicest takeaway Latte I’ve ever had. On many other occasions I’ve had their chicken Caesar salad (added bacon) and chips and it’s SO delicious. Would eat it everyday if I could. Massive portion and so so nice.

Was there this morning and must say the customer service is awful. Very poor experience. Breakfast should be chill out time but the lady serving our table couldn't have made us feel any more unwelcome. Every request was a hassle and despite only 4/5 tables full she kept repeating the backlog they had. Not a nice experience. Won't be back.

There are only so many times a customer should hear 'its on the way' . It seems to be the mantra for the team at Provence. Seemed to me that they simply didn't give damn, messed up the order , it can happen yes but then did nothing to attend to the problem. I've been a few times and always found it very pricey but add in the lack of care and that's enough for me. Plenty of nice places to eat in Malahide where you seem valued as a customer so I'll be giving this one a miss in future.

Once you get a table and can ignore the bustling business of this restaurant the food and service is top class. From homemade 🍞 + soup to excellent coffee there is a variety of choice available for all. Just spend time perusing menu so you get the full experience. Highly recommend.

Visited a few times in last two weeks and have been here regularly in last two months.
Food is very good however service is very poor. Seriously lacks management and taking responsibility for seating people and taking orders efficiently and promptly. It appears nobody is in charge or managing the situation.
Staff are not concentrating on the customer and attention to detail is seriously lacking.
Staff should be more proactive in managing a busy restaurant more effectively and putting the customer “First” at all times.

A busy Christmas Family Lunch for 8 adults and 3 children - just perfect. We booked 3 days in advance and on arrival at a crowded restaurant our table was ready and welcome and service excellent and immediate. Staff were excellent, clarified menus, helpful in every way. Food arrived promptly and every comment at our table confirmed great food, excellent tastes and flavours and ample quantities. Finished with some great Flat Whites and the bill was a pleasant surpise. We shall be back we hope many times.

I’m a regular customer at the Cafe for morning coffee and scones, always delicious. Recently I had friends visiting from Geneva and I really wanted to bring them there. We went instead for brunch as we’d been for a long walk along the coast. They were delighted with their Eggs Benedict and the Full Irish. Mellita and the staff couldn’t have been nicer, my friends were very impressed and can’t wait to visit again.

Great all day breakfast
Have breakfast or lunch here on a regular basis. Really good fry and their soups and sandwich combos are always good. Really nice coffee and cakes. Friendly and efficient staff along with very good consistency make this a regular haunt.

Always good food but service not what it used to be unfortunately. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue to do so - hopefully, but please don’t take your customers for granted. Over 20mins today before I was even offered a menu - and it wasn’t that busy!

Terrible terrible terrible service. Loads of staff milling around doing God k led what. I was left sitting at table for 10 minutes waiting for a menu. Then another 19 minutes tj ne served. Made to feel like I was a weight for wanting to be severed. Unbelievable. This place needs to get its act together. Disgraceful

The food was good, we shared a BLT. Coffee arrived a bit late.

Staff are wonderful. Very friendly and chatty
The bathroom was very bad. Toilet paper all over the floor. While I was attempting to wash my hands - empty soap dispensers littered the small space - a woman called out to me from the toilet - she needed tissue paper as the there was no toilet paper. An absolute disgrace. Shame on you, owner of Cafe Provence in Malahide. Is this what you are offering tourists from the UK and the North?
