I couldn’t speak more highly of this restaurant. My husband & I absolutely love dining here and, even though we don’t get to visit as often as we would like, every time we’re greeted & treated like regulars. We had another really special night here on Friday night last to celebrate his birthday. The staff (Aoife, Jenny & Magda) were so incredibly welcoming & attentive, and the food, as always, was out of this world. We had 3 very substantial, beautifully presented dishes each, which we chose ourselves across their 3 separate tasting menus - breaded deep fried brie, tiger prawns, deep fried field mushrooms, Baja fish tacos, pulled pork and surf & turf, followed by mouth-watering sticky toffee pudding. Every dish was packed with the freshest ingredients, and you could literally taste every single element, and layer upon layer of flavour - absolutely divine! Even the music that was playing during our meal perfectly complimented the whole experience. We’ve brought family from abroad here with us on various occasions, being an absolute favourite of ours in the area, and they too have been so impressed from beginning to end. Booking in advance is always highly recommended.

Our family have dined here a couple of times during August ... mid-week. It’s well a established and much loved venue for the variety and quality of its mini-dishes.
One of the ‘problems of success’ is that this restaurant is usually full and with limited floor space, it can get quite noisy. However, with the physical distancing requirements, the tables are now more spaced and hence less congested & noisy.
It’s owner-run, with lovely staff .... great variety of dishes that are all a little different to the usual fare. We especially love the Beef Croquette in sweet potato, ginger and coconut purée ! These also serve cocktails for € 11 which are a great way to start the evening with a bit of excitement !
Price has increased slightly but is fair and reasonable with the reduced number of diners.
The Greedy Goose is a joy to visit so go and enjoy.

My wife and I were recommended here by a couple of friends, and we were not disappointed.
We both opted for the 3 course tasting menu and chose a nice malbec to wash it down
We were given a free taster soup that was well balanced and flavoursome
In all we had the brie, pulled pork quesadilla, prawns and surf n turf.
The prawns in particular where exquisite, and worth going here just for them.
The only reason we can not give here 5 out of 5, is the quesadilla was slightly burned on the end.
As always the staff are a major part of any dining experience, and the staff are excellent, very attentive, courteous and professional
Can't wait to return

Overall the food was lovely and tasty. Lovely presentation. Nice concept of 3 plates of smaller portions.
The ambience is nice, cozy and you can hold a conversation at a comfortable level.
Where it fell down was in the service. It was a series of small issues that just made the experience a little less than what it should have.
There were 6 of us. Plates came out to 2 of us, then 4 to 5 minutes later to another 2, etc. Just too much time for all of us to have our dishes at the same time.
Empty plates were removed before all of us atthe table had finished, which is waitressing 101. They got one order completely wrong, but they brought a correct one quick enough.
One of our party had a gluten and dairy intolerance. Unfortunately the waitress was not very accommodating in trying to find something that could suit. She didn't consult the chef to see what could be done, for example, simply don't cook the meat in butter. They did have a disclaimer to talk to them about issues. Other minor service issues made the overall experience a little dampened.
A little training, and it will be much better.

First night out after lockdown. Greedy Goose was full with less than one meter between tables. Staff were very friendly and wore plastic face shields. The food was less than average, more focused on appearance/presentation rather than quality and taste. Four diners, three small plates each, two bottles of wine two cocktails, three espressos, no deserts 300 euro including tip. Absolutey bad value for money. I felt ripped off.

We were a group of five adults. The food was lovely but the whole experience was let down by slow service and a lack of attention to delivering dishes on time. We were rushed at the end as another group was waiting for our table. This could have been avoided if food delivery happened at a rate to free up the table when they needed it. One of our party pointed this out and the staff member was so rude in response, I was shocked. She seemed to be supervising all evening. To add insult to injury they added a 10% surcharge which for our group of five came to 26 euro!!!!!! That is an outrageous tip for five people. We will not be back.

We ate here last night and all I can say is WOW, ordered 6 different dishes and apart from one we all loved each others choices. Our highlight was the special of the pulled beef, foam and celeriac, it was fantastic. We really loved being able to order 'different' foods in small portions in order to eat/try a variety. Even the good ole banoffi dessert was unconventional and so good. Too far for me to travel but if it wasn't I would be a regular here. Cocktails were also great and had a very potent kick!!!

I was very impressed with this restaurant from the moment I set foot into it. Really nice decor and atmosphere and an amazing setting with a view over looking the harbor. I found both staff members (Ciaran and Magda) to be extremely friendly and helpful and made the experience more enjoyable. The food is an experience in itself as there is two tasting, tapas style, menus to choose from or you can pick separately yourself. The choice is endless and the food is outstanding. In a nutshell: the wings were probably one of the best we've had, the calamari the same. The Mussels were delicious in a tomato type sauce (not the usual white wine sauce). The steak done perfectly and the soup (tomato and roast pepper that day) and quesadilla to die for. So, if your thinking of eating here and want something different, then do, because you wont be disappointed.

My husband and I along with a friend happened onto this quaint restaurant and decided to stop in for a drink. We ordered Margheritas and Cosmos made by Magda and they were the best! We also tried the mussels and calamari at her suggestion and they did not disappoint. For a fun and friendly atmosphere we highly recommend that you give the Greedy Goose a try.

Food was nice , small portions but ok for tapas, but you need 3 dishes. i had a dessert as well so it ended up expensive, and but for a fight it would have been really expensive...!!
they have a deal of 3 dishes off the choice A set or choice B set which saves quite a bit one ordering everything individually
A is more expensive B Less.
i ordered 2 off A and then asked their recommendation for a third they recommended one that was in the cheaper set B
When they came to the bill the bill they said since i had not ordered all set A or set B that I had to pay each indicidually which was 30% more expensive than the deal.
Ridiculous.....they refused to change the bill until i fought my corner for a while....
65 euros for dinner for one with 2 small glasses of wine surely that sounds ridiculous. finally i got it reduced to 55

Had been here lots of times in the past and the food has always been lovely which is why I booked a table here for 8 family members for a dinner before Christmas.
We ordered from the tapas menus, three items each and you can pay extra to add on dessert.
First plates arrived in normal time and everyone was happy and we were all ordering drinks in between. Second plates took over 40 minutes to arrive and while we began eating the second plates, the third plates were brought out and put on the table to go cold while we still had our second plates.
Then while we were finishing our third plates, the bill was brought to the table by a member of staff. When I told the server that some of us had wanted to have dessert they told me that there was a short time limit to my party of 8 and even tho there was a delay in the kitchen, we were told that we could not order dessert as they needed our table.
I understood it was Christmas time and everyone was busy but it seemed very unreasonable that a table of 8 people were rushed out so quickly and were only short of leaving the restaurant while still chewing the last of our third plate. It was really disappointing and will no longer be eating here.

We visited gg and where seated to a nice table ,we where given our menu s , we decided on a nice bottle of sb ..the waiter explained they didn't have it but something in its place € 4 extra ? , we continued with the food tapas way of dining you pick any of the A menu 3 for 35 OK a little bit expensive , seriously delicious 😋 we relly wanted a bit more and picked some more which where also delicious but ! The tempura soul ( 15 ) euro for 3 fish finvger size was totally unrealistic ! Seriously though they where tasty ,
But the real annoying! Thing was staff started to set up service for the following day with noise and jus kinda put a damper so early in the evening we found this annoying! They jus could have waited till at leat we finished our .wine ..nothing wrong with the service we found very good ..... we probably would vist again

We visited The Greedy Goose tonight and were so impressed by the quality of food and the level of service. The menu has plenty of variety but the Mussels deserve special mention. The restaurant is really comfortable and welcoming. The staff are friendly and professional. The menu has something for everyone. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again.

Our family of four visited for an early dinner during the Easter holidays. We were one of the first tables and got a great spot by the window with a view of the sea and marina. The place soon got busy, but it had a casual, unpretentious atmosphere that we really liked.
We had booked in advance and mentioned our daughter’s allergies and the staff were prepared with a list of all the suitable dishes for her from the kids menu, which we were very happy about. It is also the only restaurant in our short trip which had desserts suitable for her (delicious sorbets).
Our son really enjoyed his fish and chips and our daughter devoured her steak and chips. My wife and I enjoyed all our dishes but especially the pork belly, the warm goats cheese and the focaccia with lemon hummus. Our whole experience was great from start to finish and it was our favourite meal of the whole trip.

Went for dinner last Friday evening at The Greedy Goose. It is definitely one of our favourite places to eat in Malahide. There is a wide variety of tapas on the menu to choose from, and what’s great is they often shake things up and add new dishes. The Cajun chicken and chilli prawns are a definite favourite! Service is great and there’s a great buzz. It happened to be my hubby’s birthday too and as they’d found out during the course of the evening, I thought it was a lovely touch when they came over to the table with dessert and a candle lit and sang Happy Birthday . Go eat there, you won’t be disappointed!
