We went to this restaurant on a Wednesday evening not knowing they do a half price wine Wednesday on all wines , we ordered a Chablis priced 90 euros (45) great value , this is a fine dining restaurant we began with a tasty chicken...liver parfait and grilled Langoustines (3) nice starters see photo’s, our mains were fillet steak with asparagus ,roast onion , celeriac, merlot and rosemary sauce and sea bass with ndjua, fennel, truffle and potato mash, roast aubergine and shrimp salsa both mains were ok although too many ingredients on the fish dish in my humble opinion , the steak was priced 42 euros and the fish 26 , an enjoyable evening and worth a visit especially on a Wednesday 👨🏻‍🍳More

The staff were amazing from the moment you enter the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very clean and beautiful, great atmosphere. The food was very good and so were the prices. The lovely lady who served us had a great knowledge about wines and suggested...us great options for each food that did actually complement it. You could see that she loves what she does what made our experience even more enjoyable and made us feel very special. I am definitely going back to soak up more of this magical experience.More

We were really impressed with Old Street. Warm welcome, seated quickly, great ambience. Food was incredible, particularly the scallops and sea bass. Special mention to our server Chloe who was very attentive and helped us pick out a whisky. Highly recommend!

We visited on New Years Eve with friends. We had an absolutely fantastic meal. A glass of fizz on arrival, followed by a 3 course meal. The scallops (starter) and duck (main) were cooked to perfection with great flavours.

Amazing We ordered pate and ravioli both starters were brillant such flavours We then went for fillet steak cooked to perfection and served with lovely sides. No room for desert although as it was my husbands bday they brought a little dessert with a candle....I didn’t need to remind them about this request. Super customer serviceMore

Beautiful building and interior, wonderful ambiance. Menu is interesting and food is amazing - had the ravioli and steak which was huge and delicious. They have an amazing wine list. It is not cheap but is worth the money !

Fantastic restaurant. I have tried countless Sunday Lunches around the U.K. and Ireland I can say Old Street is by far the best. Coupled with a lovely ambiance and great service. We are looking forward to visiting again and ordering off the rest of the...menu!More

We had to wait quite a while for menus after being but weren't in a rush so it was fine. For starters my husband had the charcuterie and I had the butterflied prawns. The prawns were delicious but a very small portion for the price....For mains we both had rib eye with pepper sauce and ordered chips, green beans and balsamic carrots as sides. The chips were delicious and good size portions and the green beans were ok, a little bland. The carrots were sooo good but again a tiny portion for 4.50 - in fact it looked as if just one carrot had been cut into 4 chunks? It was a pity as they were absolutely delicious. The steak was very nice too. Dessert was a little disappointing - the server brought a tray of shot glass-type containers and recited the flavours (4 as per menu online) and you pick one there and then off the tray - if you don't like mousse/cheesecake then you won't like these. I would go back again though and try a fish dish for mains next time.More

Staff and decor nice. Bread hard, olives tasteless, white wine lukewarm, risotto tasted of stock cube, fish listless, dessert ok but tiny.

After hearing good reports on the Tomahawk steak , we decided we should try Old Street before the end of the summer holidays, and we made a great choice helped by the fact that we visited on Wine Wednesday, when great wines are on special...offer . We both shared the Tomahawk steak for two which is served with veg, Potato & Apple Gratin and two sauces. This is top quality food with great presentation by the chef in a very relaxed restaurant with friendly service. We would highly recommend .More

After having a very positive experience a few weeks back we decided to head back for a nice Friday evening in Malahide. We sat at our table around 7.50 and placed our order x 6. Not all our party were having a starter. We didn't...get our main courses until after 9.30. It also took quite some time to take our plates, which meant no one in the party had the appetite for desert or coffee. The menu is on the expensive side so decent service should be a given. The only saving grace was the food was good None of the party will be rushing back. Pity as our previous experience was very good as was the service.More

Family evening consisting of a party of 3. Booked table the day before so limited time slot available which is fine. Booking fee €20 pet head , way over the top, but was told this would be taken off the bill - this wasn't done...and our waitress had no idea - obviously this is not her fault but the management booking system. But I got the impression not all tables are charged this booking fee. Food - overall its fine - limited menu so be warned - nothing amazing- lacks seasoning- toast accompanying the crab was stale. Chorizo on the fish was so hard you could break a tooth and that is no exaggeration. Steaks were OK. Deserts - you are advised they don't do a desert menu but offer you a choice of 4 small pots- chocolate mouse, raspberry pot etc - all tasteless and they charge you €3.95 each rip off. Staff were pleasant and food was served quickly. Overall disappointing and expensive for what you get.More

Went there for lunch. we had booked and when we arrived, booking was not logged and staff ran around trying to find a table for two. gave the impression that they were very busy when in fact there was tons of room with only a...few people in the place....a bit overdone on the theatrics ! but meal was nice with chicken wings starter being well presented and plenty of them. would almost have done as a main course. we both had haddock and chips. pretty goods but i must admit that i did not like the presentation of the chips. potatoes not peeled and this might suit the green society, but really a bit fake, my only real issue is that at lunchtime, there is really a poor choice of menu....only 4 choices. ìt could be enlarged quite easily would i go there again? yes, but necessarily a "must do"More
