yesterday we went to Al Fresco and we where disappointed. the most of waitress are impolite. 2 over 3 pretended not to see you when you call them, really bad. we order spaghetti with gamberi (shrimps) and we got an overcooked spaghetti with a watery...tomato sauce very sour and too much salt with watery unfrozen scrimps for 17 euros. We tried to eat it but they put really too much salt, We called the waitress and ask to bring away the spaghetti saying that we could not eat the spaghetti so sour and with too much salt, and she took away the plate. End of the story .. they did not replace the spaghetti and included it in the bill. When I asked to the waitress who brought us the bill if it was normal there not to replace something that was bad cooked and also ask the guest to pay for it, she did not care, she said "just pay ,,, ". it was the first and the last time we go to eat there. Expensive and poor quality .... Do not go!More
Had an excellent evening in this Restaurant on my husbands birthday. 3 couples and we were at the circular table at the window. Restaurant was busy for a Sunday evening. Food was superb and staff were friendly and efficient all evening. Finished off with a...cocktail and owner gave us a liqueur with the bill which was very reasonable. Good covid checks of all the certs for our group and Restaurant felt safe. We will definitely be back, this is our fourth visit and has not let us down yet.More
Had a lovely meal here last night, family occasion. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Menu had a great selection. Very relaxed atmosphere. Covid checks made, gave some reassurance. Good value meal and finished off with a cocktail
We were looking for a celebration meal date recently as we are 13 years since we married at the beautiful Sorrento Italy and we said why not try Al fresco Restaurant. So myself my husband and two children one teenage and my daughter gave top...marks as the meal was fresh and presented very well from start to finish and the price was very reasonable The atmosphere was very good in a setting which we taught was very cosy. We will look forward to returning shortly.More
The food we found good but were let down by poor service ( in fairness a member of staff had not turned in for work and left them understaffed), however we were offered a liqueur on the house as an apology which was a nice...touchMore
Visited this restaurant last night and had a wonderful time. Hoping to go back again tonight!! Food was delicious everything was perfect. The service can’t be faulted. Would definitely recommend this fabulous Italian restaurant
We visited Al Fresco after a day out in Malahide. Our food arrived promptly, too promptly as it turned out... my chicken was still raw in the middle! The manager apologised and said they would cook me a new dish straight away. After quite some...time I was told it would be only another two minutes. Ten minutes later, and since the rest of our group had all finished their meal, I told them to cancel the chicken as I no longer wanted it. The manager came to apologise again and explained it was taking some time as other tables had since ordered and they were ahead of me in the queue in the kitchen!! I would have thought a replacement for my raw chicken should have been allowed to skip the queue!! Anyway, he offered us free dessert, which the kids appreciated, and then the replacement chicken arrived! After some discussion I accepted it to go, after being told it would be removed from the bill. However, when we got the bill we had been charged for the chicken after all, though desserts were indeed free. While staff were well intentioned, the whole impression was of chaos; 4 different people served us, and no one seemed to know what the other was doing. While mistakes can happen, though raw chicken is a pretty big one, good customer service could have resolved this. Unfortunately this was not the case and we won't be back.More

Thanks for the review.
We believe we have offered you more than 'good customer service', and the staff had been very accommodating, knowledgeable and in sync with your persistent demands.

High quality food in a casual atmosphere. Outside tables are great for people watching. Highlights include the seafood pasta and the creme brûlée. Very good value for money given the quality of food and location.
