Absolutely fantastic food and very attentive staff. Only wish we’d booked in here to stay. A great find on our travels around Ireland.

Stayed here on Business last night and although room was small it had everything required and it was spotless. Shower was the most powerful shower I ever had. Check in was excellent, the manager (I assume) went through all the information and brought me up...to the room, very polite and professional. Had a drink in the bar which is a lovely cosy bar and seemed to be busy for food. Unfortunately I did not eat here as I had lunch earlier but will definitely eat here on my next trip as the breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. The owner Declan was on hand for breakfast and very friendly and chatty. Irish hospitality at its best and would not hesitate to stay here again and also great value for money.More
Beautiful tasty food, excellent. Lovely young fella took our order, very polite & friendly. Then I presume the Manager, served our food, he was sullen, very unfriendly & couldn’t be bothered. It’s such a pity as the most difficult part is to get the food...right & they did. I hope the tip that was left got as far as the young fella. Unlikely to return there on next visit to lovely Bundoran.More
We are becoming regular visitors to Maddens. The most recent occasion being for lunch on Mothers Day. As per usual, both the food and service were of the highest order. On this occasion we were fortunate enough to have our own little alcove overlooking Donegal...Bay. There is a great range of choices on the menu and it is pleasing to see such good use of locally sourced ingredients. There is a lovely ambience about the place and the fact that it is invariably busy is a fantastic testimony to the quality of the fayre on offer.More
Myself and other family members had a meal in this establishment during our visit to Bundoran on 22nd March 2023. Firstly, the reception we received from the manager was anything but hospitable indeed it was the worst reception I have ever experienced in my life....However, we settled at our table and ordered some food . The food was just average and not too a great standard, so I cannot recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone.More
I'm not messing with my title, I've been around the world and lived all over Ireland and can say this was the best brekkie ever. Everything was super fresh, the publican (or bartender, not sure) was attentive, funny and quick, and we died over how...good the food was. Went outside to smoke and they even had real Aran tweed blankets at the patio tables for our poor Irish circulation :) We will most definitely be back to this little gem!More
As always the food is amazing, best steaks ever. Staff are friendly and excellent at their jobs. The place is spotless with a warm welcome feeling to everyone.
Such a lovely chilled bar with views of the sea. It's really well designed with amazing memorabilia from the area and surrounds which makes for a great nosey around while enjoying a drink. Food is so delicious and the staff are super friendly. Shout out...to Conor the bar tender who makes some quality Irish Coffees and cocktails always served with a big smile and friendly banter. 🌊🥃More
Amazing vibe and service with music from Cian and impressed with the Whiskey knowledge and expertise from Connor. Highly recommend to come here, will go back
Went here with my family for an evening meal on a Friday night. The food was exceptionally good. We all had different starters and main courses and everyone's food was beautiful. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We liked it so much that...we went back in for Saturday lunch and yet again it was gorgeous. I couldn't recommend this bar/restaurant highly enough. It might be slightly more expensive than some other bars/restaurants in the area, but trust me it is great value given the quality of food and service. I look forward to my next visit.More
€9.20 for a bag of crisps and a pint of Donegal brewed pale ale in rural Donegal? Yup. Not sure how they justify charging Dublin prices in Donegal but it explains why there aren't many or any locals drinking in there. Avoid it and get...better pints elsewhere in Bundoran.More
3rd time staying here, and it did not fail us, staff very friendly and helpful, rooms spotlessly clean and cleaned every day. we stayed bed and breakfast, and the food was fabulous with a great choice. We were over for the hills of Donegal festival...and location is great right in centre of Bundoran. would definitely recommend this place and will stay again when in Bundoran.More
We were on holidays in bundoran recently. We went for dinner in Maddens and it was excellent,The waiters couldn't have been more helpful. The food was top notch.Keep up the good work
Excellent food , excellent service , fabulous atmosphere, extremely clean, what more could you want , Couldn't get the online booking to work, we rang & they accepted a booking on the phone extremely pleasant and helpful we will return
I was so grumpy when I arrived that I felt like having to go upstairs was an issue, WELL? that was the last issue, the rest of the meal was beautifully prepared and served. As I was still in a grump when I ordered, I...just had a Burger. BUT "Oh My GOD" it was delicious, my mouth is watering just thinking of it . There's only so many time you can say "It was the best burger I ever had" but this is one of those times. The service was friendly and charming. We both had creme Brulee for dessert, served with a lovely ice cream, which was beautifully delicate, I had a "constructive input" for the pudding which was graciously accepted. I will go backMore
