We were staying in the area on holidays and there isn't many (as in none) eating establishments outside Belmullet so we were delighted to hear about Teach Greannai we ate once in the diner where it was open late on Wednesday and served to meals off the specials for 15€ .
The menu is short but this is to be expected given the location and footfall of such a spot.
The food was reasonably priced, freshly prepared and tasty the diner was busy but the service was very good the staff were friendly and efficient.
The diner was spotlessly clean and the view is pretty spectacular.
We also availed of take away burgers and chips at the weekend and the food was freshly made and tasty .
In such a rural area it is good to have such an estaishment to give you a break from cooking while on holidays.
It is only open 9am to 4pm late on Wednesday and takeaway is open 6pm to 10pm at weekends, these hours may vary according to season.

This cafe is brilliant for quick and tasty food, such as you might want as in our case after a rainy walk along the coastline. Expect big portions for less than you'd expect to pay. Our eggs were cooked as we asked, the chips were crisp and the sausage and mash delicious. More restaurants like Teach Greannai are needed.

Takeaway is hit and miss. Placed an order there the last 3 weeks & the order has been incorrect each time. Not sure if it’s the kitchen or the person taking the order who’s not listening. Although when they do get it right, it tastes great!!

A lovey homely place, amazing location, great hearty food, home from home. My family are from this part of the world and I love coming back here but haven't visited Teach Greannai before. It's a great place to stop for homely food and really friendly staff.

Wonderful place, wonderful food, wonderful people!!!! Thanks so much for such a great welcome!! We stopped in on our travels in September and were so happy to find this beautiful gem!!! Hopefully we will one day find our way back!!!! :-) Highly, highly recommend!!!

Went here for breakfast with family and kids, couldn't praise this place enough, nothing was a problem to the really helpful staff, kids wanted pancakes that were not on menu- no problem. Our breakfast was plentiful and well cooked, with lots of toast and tea. Will definitely visit again and would recommend without hesitation.

Like an oasis in the desert is this wonderful little place that just oozes charm. A sanctuary for the tired and hungry. A warm and sincere welcome is what you get. Clean and comfortable and staffed by people you just wish for everytime you go out We have had sandwiches and breakfast and boy oh boy was it good. Well cooked and beautifully presented....the plaudits are endless. And the price? Well I'll let you discover that for yourself. All I will say is, you will not be disappointed.

Wow!! This place is a hidden gem.. perfect for anyone to be honest caters for all ages and very well laid out eating area. Food was top class, real home cooking. I had the omelette it was delicious! Staff were excellent also and very friendly and welcoming. Lady by the name of Ann with a lovely pleasant smile served us, she was ever so helpful making recommendations also. This place is definitely worth a visit. Very near some fab loop walks if you feel like a bit of trekking. Also beaches nearby. Highly recommended!

Teach Greannai is located at Cornboy, Rossport, Erris near Belmullet Co Mayo Ireland. It is known locally as a diner and takeaway. But the centre itself is a community centre for the local area that is organised as a not for profit organisation. The people manning the centre voluntarily provide daycare and other ancillary services for the elderly and other sectors in need of support apart altogether from the diner and takeaway.
The diner and takeaway is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff and warm and friendly people and the food is excellent and plentiful and served in a hospitable and timely fashion. We dropped in for lunch and it was amazing.
