Probably the Best Omelette in the World

I just popped into the Post House for a quick bite en route to the airport. I was made very welcome as ever, sat down and orders were taken. The usual quick and efficient service produced a perfectly cooked dish which was absolutely delicious. The Post House really is a gem. It has amazing food for any meal and enjoys a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere nurtured beautifully by John, Lisa et al. It really is a unique winning formula to be treasured in these coffee shop, chain restaurant times. Thanks to all and see you next time.

Enjoyed a really great lunch in The Post House. The chowder has attracted lots of positive reviews and certainly didn't disappoint. The staff are clearly very passionate about the level of service they provide - appears to be a firm favourite with locals at lunchtime which is a great sign. Pity I didn't find this gem on my previous visits. Would definitely go back for some of the other lunch offerings.

We stopped in for a late breakfast. Very clean and inviting. I had the buttermilk pancakes with bacon and my husband had the full Irish. The pancakes were cooked fresh to order - perfect. So no soggy rubbery pancakes! Delish The full Irish was very taste - perfectly cooked. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Amazing lunch!

Such a hidden gem in Ballina!! Everything seems to be made in house, including the best chowder ever with big chunks of incredible fish. We cleared every plate and nearly rolled out of there. We ended the meal with the apple crumble that came with warm custard and that was we the highlight of the meal for sure. If you’re wanting a great, low-key, and very reasonably priced meal, this is your spot.

Genuinely Lovely Staff and wholesome food

Honestly John and his staff were the friendliest people we’ve met in a long time. They took such interest in our 3 Kids and even took them into the kitchen to meet the chefs. We had a beautiful lunch here and went back for a tasty breakfast the following morning that kept us going the whole day. Menus will suit everyone and there’s a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it more, enjoy!

We try to always stop by when in Ballina or passing through. Food is always so fresh - Norie loves the salad plate and I can't resist the Seafood Chowder but all we have tried is just spot on. Desserts are home made and delicious as well.

Today we went to the Post House for lunch. My Mum is elderly and I rang to reserve a table . The girl who answered my call was more than helpful. We had a lovely experience ,lovely staff ,great customer service and above all the food was excellent and no long delay in getting our food . The only little fault I have I spoke to the owner of the restaurant and he didn't reply only started chatting with the customers at the table next to us . This won't stop me from going back ,I'll be back again to see the staff and for good food . We'll done staff. 👍

Great spot for lunch

We popped by by for a light lunch in this fresh feeling cafe that feels very country but is in the town .. it has a friendly atmosphere and a good local following with staff seeming to know most customers by name.. we had a filling delicious lunch with homemade local produce a very nice experience

Lovely lunch

Myself and my wife were in Ballina for a few hours and found this place at the top of the town. From the outside it looked clean and we got a very friendly welcome. It was very busy and people were actually queuing outside as we ordered. We ordered the BLT, the Caesar Salad wrap and tea for two. All was presented nicely and tasted spot on. The staff were very nice which added to our overall experience.

Great breakfast

Came here for breakfast after reading the consistent good reviews and we were not disappointed. We ordered a full breakfast and omelette both of which were delicious. It was evident that The Post House use quality produce. The establishment itself is small but the space was put to good use. Service was polite but a smile would go a long way hence the 4 stars.

Little gem of a place, house salad was plentiful and very fresh excellent portion and reasonable price. Latte coffee just right and great service. We will be back to try the home made desserts next time.

A Little Gem of a Cafe!

Delicious home cooked food, their seafood chowder is up there with the best, also highly recommended their coffee which you can also get to take away if you're passing by. Warm friendly service, top class little cafe!

Lovely lunch
