We arrived just as the breakfast service was about to finish and lunch was about to begin. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Most of our party of 7 wanted an Irish breakfast and some of them wanted soup. Our order was taken quickly and the food that was served was hot and delicious. Would definitely visit The Loft when next in Ballina.

The place to stay

It’s been a while since we stopped at the loft due to the pandemic,Still the warm welcome and first class service in addition to the newly refurbished rooms which are fantastic, The food is also top class and extremely well priced. All the right steps are in place to ensure health restrictions are met. I know they say its a B&B but with room update its more than that.

Nice place to eat

One of the busiest in Ballina , because of the food, only downside is it’s usually booked out, the menu though not vast has good variety, just wish they would have more vegetarian options. Service is good & sanitation is frequent making you feel safe eating there. There is a lovely atmosphere too, unfortunately you cannot just pop in for a drink. Would recommend it.

Decided to dine in after bit shopping with my mother. Have drank here before but never eaten. We had starters of Garlic Mushrooms and Cesar Salad and Steak Sandwich and Fish and Chips as Main Course. The Fish Chips was the best my mother has had in the area in quite awhile and Steak for a Sandwich was outstanding. Our server Darragh looked after us so well and kept checking in if we needed anything. Compliments to the team and Chefs. We have booked again over Christmas!

Great night

We are at the Loft our second night in Ballina, after having a drink there the day before. We didn’t have a booking either time and the staff were so accommodating. John and the girls do cracking work, and they looked after us really well. The food was gorgeous and the chilled, laid back atmosphere was the icing on the cake, once we were sat there was no rush whatsoever. We were able to sit and enjoy our drinks for the rest of the evening. All staff followed safety measures. It was the first time we’ve been out and been able to relax and forget the madness of the last year. Will definitely be recommending to anyone visiting. Thanks guys

Very disappointed to see that you have increased your prices such that all wraps and paninis are €10. Extortionate. I used to go here regularly with work colleagues but we will be boycotting it from here on in, I really don't understand how you can expect people to pay that much for a sandwich, you must think people are earning extraordinary salaries...

Great for a quick family lunch

We stopped in the middle of a long drive for a quick bit to eat. They were very busy but managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn’t reserved. The soup of the day was lovely as were the different sandwiches and panini’s we tried. The menu had a full allergens list along side which made its very easy to order taking into account our sons soya allergy. Food came quickly ans portions were generous and all the staff were very helpful and friendly and there was also a lot of them.

The Loft is the most decrepit B&B place I have stayed in, in very many years, the place is a kip, a potential fire trap, and a rip off. Food just OK and friendly young staff the only positive. No shower hot water, impossible to open bedroom window due to secondary glazing . Very rundown, not clean, algae in tray of empty water bottle font, 3 keys required to enter building and room. A cash cow for the owners with zero investment in improvement or modernisation.

Make that dara boy manager! Made me and my girlfriends feel young again! From the moment we sat down he was seducing us with his wit and good looks! We gave him a few pennies for his wonderful assistance. When Maureen forgot to bring her leftovers after asking for them to be packed up, dara came running out the door like a knight in shining armour returning them to us! He’s a credit to his parents and colleagues. Other than that the food was middling X

Great food and service

Booked a table and arrived, we had extra people from original booking but John accommodated us. I've had lunch previously which was great, evening food was a new experience. Great menu (something for everyone) food was great and reasonably priced. Service was top class. Covid guidelines strictly adhered too but did not take away from a great evening out in Ballina. Will definitely return.

Warm hearty welcome, couldn't fault the food or the price. Great business people, the little homely touches make all the difference. Place spotless. Friendly and attentive service. Lovely hospitality. Would certainly return. Impossible to fault.

Super Pub/Restaurant to visit

We visited the Loft Bar and Restaurant today for dinner and drinks. It was absolutely excellent and we'd highly recommend it. My husband had the fish pie which was really super and I had the supreme of chicken which was also excellent. Would highly recommend this pub/Restaurant if in Ballina. An excellent place to eat and staff excellent also. 5 stars 🌟

I have had both breakfast and lunch here on several occasions over the past while. It is always faultless and the staff are very efficient and friendly. Portion size is excellent. Food is delicious and well presented. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ballina.

We are locals and eat out a lot. We have been to the loft many times but never for the evening menu. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had. And that’s saying something. Service and value for money are some of the best I’ve seen and witnessed. Fair play to all involved 🤗🙌🏼

If your coming to ballina to stay for a night or two stay with the guys in the loft , beautiful bedrooms, comfortable & clean . The food is amazing, the loft breakfast is fabulous & the evening menu is to die for , so tasty . The Staff are the most friendliest professional people in the business. Ballina is very lucky to have this establishment. Enjoy 😊👍🏼
