Great quality, fresh fish and see food. Wine per glass selection could be better. Friendly service. We recommend the catch of the day

My boyfriend and I stopped in after this restaurant came highly recommended from a friend in Galway. The place was full and we didn't have a reservation, but we were seated immediately and warmly welcomed. They gave us smoked salmon on little toasted pieces of soda bread to munch as we scanned the menu. We started off with the seafood... More

Went here on the recommendation of our hotel and we weren't disappointed. A warm welcome from friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere with a bit of a buzz. Menu left us spoilt for choice. We had the sea food chowder and the crab gratin for starters and both were wow! We then had the catch of the day, hake and the sole... More

My husband and I had dinner here at the suggestion of a local. What they failed to tell us what how impersonal and unwelcoming this place is. The food was quite good and the menu had an array of different offering that looked amazing. However, the gentleman walking around was only interested in one particular party that had walked in... Went to Dingle with a group of friends this past weekend and decided to eat at the Half Door on Friday night. We all thought the food was very average and overpriced.

Disappointed; there are a lot of better places in dingle, food only average, expected more for the high prices.

We went here for a meal about 7 in the evening and it was very quiet. Dingle was quiet in fact as quite a few places were closed. However the food here was really good with a choice of good local produce. Really enjoyed it.

Arrived to Dingle late on a Tuesday afternoon after the drive from Dublin. I was looking to relax and enjoy good food from the sea as I am in Dingle! Half Door restaurant was a great stop, the Crab Au Gratin was superb and the wine list was good as well. The Half Door is a very nice restaurant with... More

We were in Dingle for one night and a local referred us to the Half Door. We were told if we got there before 7:00 we could order off the "Happy Hour" menu which was much more affordable. We started with a lobster bisque that was out of this world! Next my friend ordered the salmon which was incredible and... More

The Half Door is truly a jewel in the crown in the delightful town of Dingle This restaurant had been recommended to me by a friend and it lived up to all my expectations. The food was tasty and well presented. The seafood platter was out of this world. I was in the company of four and everyone agreed that... More
