Tried to order Calamari starter but we're told it was only available for the seafood platter. Ordered sea bass from the specials board for €35 and a risotto. Small sea bass with side dish of cool mash, broccoli, red cabbage and mashed carrot (also on...the cool side); the risotto was dry. We had a carafe of wine, two desserts and coffees - 1 hour later we left €100 lighter. Staff friendly but I won't hurry back for the food.More

We arrived for a double celebration and the staff were just gorgeous. They made amazing Moscow mules (which weren't even on the menue )with chilli gingerbeer , they were full of banter and joy which really added to our experience, the range, quality and taste...of the food was amazing and a fraction of the cost of what we thought it would be. We will certainly be back, thank you all for making our trip so much more specialMore

We had a few meals here during our stay in Dingle and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The rich gourmet hot chocolates were divine, and the gluten free options were plentiful which was much appreciated. The Wild Atlantic Seafood platter was lovely and filling, and...easy to share. The fisherman’s pie was delectable. We will definitely be back!More

I had a wonderful meal once again at the Boatyard. The mussels which can come with bread or french fries were really delicious.

We visited Dingle as part of a tour last week and decided to have lunch here. Started with Oysters which were really good, not much you can do to fresh oysters ,apart from serving them with the appropriate accompaniments. The crab platter was excellent and the...amount of crab meat in the crab cake was one of the best we have had with very good proportion of crab meat instead of filler. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which did not break the bank . Hopefully we will return to Dingle next year and have dinner to allow us to sample more fresh seafood.More

The seafood chowder was terrific. The crab platter pretty tasteless. Our other couple had fish and chips and they were only middling. Service was ok, but the server was constantly confused. Not worthy of its high rating; but ok.

We visited here in a party of four for dinner and the food was what I would call "fine", in general, without anything being particularly special. The worst part was the service. We were met by a very brusque, unsmiling member of staff who made...no effort towards giving any sense of greeting or welcome - a bit disappointing but OK - not a huge deal. The lady who served our table for most of the evening, on the other hand, was very pleasant and friendly but the real downfall was at the end. Our booking was for 7.30 and we ordered drinks, starter, main course, dessert and coffee. By 9.30, we were still only finishing our dessert and coffee and a very clear message was sent that they wanted us out. We still had coffee to finish and by 9.40 or 9.45 the staff behaved like we had already left and were in full cleaning-up mode - talking amongst themselves loudly around us, as if we weren't there. The full lights were put on, and one staff member had a dustpan and brush cleaning around the nearby tables - while we were looking at each other in utter bemusement - none of us had ever experienced the like before in any restaurant anywhere. I think one member of our party said she saw a vacuum cleaner pulled out also so we left the remains of the coffee and got out. We were the last customers - the last other table had left at about 9.30, I think, but it was far from approaching an ungodly hour like midnight - and I think we had paid enough to merit being left finish our coffee in peace - as least up to 10.00. I could suggest that they inform people when booking if there is a limit on how long customers get to eat their meal - and if there is a desired closing time - rather than waiting for this to be discovered in such a bizarre and unacceptable way.More

My wife and I had our second visit to the Boatyard in 4 days and this experience even exceeded the previous one two days prior which had also been excellent. We each had the duo of sea bass and sole this time which together with...a small potato quiche and vegetable were all cooked to perfection. On the previous occasion I had the calamari and mussels (both excellent) while my wife had the scallops (excellent) and the goat cheese (just ok.) The service from our vintage waitress was outstanding on both occasions- attentive without going overboard. Had the chocolate brownie for dessert but it would have been better if the chocolate sauce had been on the side rather than already poured over the brownie. Minor issue and did not detract from the outstanding service and quality of the food and presentation.More

Dined in The Boatyard when on a visit to Dingle. It was extremely busy & loud with parties - a hen party on one side of us & a birthday at the other side….. Food was ok - last time I dined here it was...very good, so it was very disappointing this time. Very friendly & efficient staff - prices weren’t bad either!More

Impromptu stop to this gem for a quick bite. We had a starter of crab claws and calamari. The crab claws were really flavoursome and a good portion. The calamari were crispy and the lemon mayo dip was a great addition. We had a pint...of the locally brew IPA which was gorgeous, really light, fruity and delicious! Will definitely be back!More
