The fish box is a very saught after restaurant, we had to wait two hours for a table after putting our names down (they don't do reservations). It was well worth the wait, however. We both got the fish box, it is a meal that could feed two people, with calamari, prawns, monkfish and haddock. All the fish were beautifully done, I especially liked the calamari which were tender in a lovely light herb batter.

We had lunch here on a wet Sunday in January. The food here is fabulous. The fish and chips and monkfish goujons were fantastic. Portion sizes were good Service was first class and the restaurant is great value for money.

We were in dingle this weekend and tried the fish box for food as we passed it a few times and it was a very busy spot so figured the food must be great, but Michaél who was at the door told us they were fully booked and even couldn't accommodate take aways for a few hours. So we asked him was there any chance of just getting a box of chips for two and he said he would see what he could do. He went away and came back 3-4 mins later with what I'd soon discover were the nicest chips I've eaten in years and to top it off he didn't charge us for them . Will absolutely be back and highly recommend this amazing restaurant.

Ordered prawn salad box and monkfish prawn red curry and granted the ridiculous wait time did not help as we were gone way past hunger by then, but there was an off taste to my prawns in the curry which was sickening. No point in taking pre orders and using the app if food isn't ready till closing time. Diners eating in hopefully don't have such issues.

This delightful little restaurant is The Place for fisn'chips in Dingle. Highly recommended by Irish friends, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated upon arrival. Bright and cheery, they have a limited menu of fresh(!) fish, everything we had was wonderful. Service was prompt and prices quite reasonable....because you are paying for what you eat and not for fancy surroundings.

We had to put our name on a waiting list to sit in but it was no time at all before we were seated. It is all too easy in a big busy tourist spot to provide service and food that says “we don’t really mind if you don’t come back “ but Flannerys is a far away from this as you can get. This is serious seafood prepared beautifully and served by friendly genuinely caring and attentive staff. The small dining area is bright, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean and sparkling. These people have their own family trawler and so the fish cannot be any fresher ! I had the Fishbox which was Deep Fried Haddock, Calamari and Prawns which was not only some of the best I’ve ever eaten but in portions for even the heartiest of eaters and good value. They even have is license so you can have a pint with your meal. If you are in Dingle find Flannerys and even if you have to wait or go way for a while until they call you to your table DO IT as you won’t find better anywhere.

My wife & I enjoyed this wonderful eating experience while storm “seoirse” whistled through An Daingean . The staff, largely the Flannery family, were warm in their welcome, the local brew was warming, (though served cooled) as was bean cheile’s wine. The atmosphere was live with warm chatter of people enjoying their food and the fish pie was “go h-iontach ar fad” ( absolutely wonderful) full of fresh fish cooked beautifully. The maharees chips were the best I have ever tasted. The service from the friendliest staff really made a foul night sunny. Go raibh maith agaibh agus go neirigh an bothar libh !

I feel compelled to write a well-deserved five star review of The Fish Box as we had the most fabulous experience from start to finish. The staff are so friendly. The vibe is chilled but very efficient and customer service is obviously their number 1 priority. The food was delicious and so fresh and it's also very reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back! Thanks to all for the lovely experience!

After reading some reviews on here about this place we decided to stop for some lunch. We were greeted by deidre at the door who took my name and number and said we would have a 10 minute wait which was grand. 10 minutes later the call came and we got our table. Deidre showed us to our table while giving us some info on the place which is a family run business who catch all the seafood on their own boat, I loved this. We ordered the mussels to start to share between my wife and I. As you can see from the picture the portion is HUGE, excellent value for money and the dish itself didn't disappoint!!!! We followed with the fish box which I got and the crab spring rolls for the wife. Again as you see in the pictures the portions are huge, nearly enough for 2 people really, I can eat but after the mussels had no chance of finishing it. The calamari was beautiful and lightly battered, the prawns cooked to perfection as was the monkfish. My wife really enjoyed the crab spring rolls too. Oh and the locally brewed pale ale was light and refreshing and the perfect drink to go with my fish. I cannot speak highly enough of the restaurant and the staff alike, who were really friendly and I loved hearing the back story of the place. Without a doubt the best fish I've eaten since I moved to Ireland 15 years ago. See you again in October when we're back in Dingle for the weekend.

The best fish and chips I've ever had served by a friendly and welcoming staff. We enjoyed our first meal so much that we cancelled a dinner reservation at a "fancy" seafood resturant so that we could return to the Fish Box two days later. I suggest you plan to visit early (around 5 or 5:30 ) to beat the crowds (as it is pretty full most of the time). Servings are large (as they were most places in Ireland) so my spouse and I could easily share one order and the staff was happy to provide an extra plate/lemon/tartar sauce without me even asking. This is a great family run casual restaurant with delicious food.

We had the Chowder and Fish box to share. The fish was that fresh it was a 10 minute walk to the harbor where you will find the boat that catches the fish. There's usually a queue but it moves quickly...don't be afraid to eat from the high stools. Service is excellent also. We will be back!

Great value fish and chips. We ate her 1 night and take away another night. The quality of fish is fab, so fresh. Because we were twice, we ended up having 6 dishes and all were fab. Large portions. Chips are very good too. Calamari, monkfish and haddock gorgeous. The chicken burger for the non fish lover was very good too. You can walk in off the street and give your order and wait in the lane beside until your order is ready so social distancing is practised. You can tell it is a family business and the tables are attached to the premises. One of the brothers has the boat which is why the fish is so fresh. The prices are not exorbitant. If there is too much of a wait for the limited tables, make sure you get a takeaway

Fanbloodytastic, my wife had the fishbox, Hake (big piece, prawns (6 or 7) calamari (smallish piece), monkfish (smallish piece) and fresh cut chips, loads, tasted excellent. Myself had Scallops, chorizo, black pudding, carrot and parsnip mash, spring onion mash spuds, this came with a white wine cream sauce, yum, yum. The staff were great, only taking walk in at the moment due to Covid, take your name at the door and call when table is free so give yourself about an hour before you want to eat, can’t recommend enough👍👍👍👍

We stumbled upon The Fish Box - what a treat. The portion sizes, of fresh delicious fish and chips, were very very generous. It was delicious. Lovely staff in this family run restaurant. They catch the fish themselves, wow.

The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. The portions were enormous. I ordered the chilli monkfish with half rice and half chips, which tasted exquisite and the half portion of chips was larger than a full portion in most other places. The staff were very friendly, they chatted to us while we were waiting for our meal and were extremely welcoming. I would recommend a visit to The Fish Box to anyone who comes to Dingle.
