Well the best fish I have eaten from a chipper/restaurant. It was fresh plenty if it and very reasonable. Not so keen on the chips however they had that reheated taste and were very dry but fish 100% worth the visit.

Incredible. Huge portion, absolutely delectable fish, that was perfectly seasoned and cooked. No reservations was fine. We put our names in, toured the church and shops nearby and devoured the entire thing. The seafood chowder was also amazing. Charming and welcoming staff. Absolutely a TEN...all around.More
Truly exceptional. One of the best seafood meals we’ve had in a long time. Fish chowder was chock full of fresh seafood and perfectly seasoned (even my toddler loved it). Prawns and chips were crispy, flavorful, and fresh. We also really enjoyed the buffalo hake...bites—a very creative dish and surprisingly tasty. The restaurant is small so tables may be tough to come by—if you’re in a hurry and/or a large party, consider ordering takeaway (you can order ahead online!) and enjoy this delicious meal at your home or by some of Dingle’s beautiful scenery. Honestly, it was so good, we would have enjoyed it even standing in the rain.More
Do not believe the hype..not worth the wait.. So no reservations allowed, start of a bad sign if that arrogant. Restaurant arrived 1800, told leave phone number and two hour wait! Then told table not guaranteed as close at 9pm. As tripadvisor reviews decided to...agree and wait, went to Murphys on the front. Great pints and food being served looked good. 2015..phone call, table available and please be quick as close at 2100. Finish drink, 5 minute quick walk. Shown seat. Food at best mediocre, chowder tasted flowery and if you had seafood in it..lucky. Fish, over cooked and bland. As portions poor, asked for desert menu and told we are closing soon (food service was slow hence not 2140ish). Decided to make a point, apple pie and ice cream. Filthy looks. Never again. The reviews do not match reality.More
Highly Recommend this place if visiting Dingle it's in high demand so pop in and get your name on the list for the evening I had the chili cod omg this was so full of flavour and a good portion staff and very friendly and...helpfulMore
Got a take away from the fish box last Monday never had a nicer pice of fish. I have been working in restaurants for years and this was the nicest freshest fish I ever had my son got the bird box and he said he...would die to eat there againMore
Best fish and chips in Ireland!! The fish is so fresh, no wonder it stays busy. If only the AC worked...
As a Kerry native, we usually get fish & chips when we go to Dingle. This time we tryed the The fish box, a busy Spot around 4pm on a Sunday had to wait 30mins for our takeaway. The fish we got was battered hake,...this was ok. But the chip's were reheated & horrible, bit's only. Poor quality after waiting 30minsMore
Fantastic experience as always. I ordered hake as this is a massively underrated fish. Batter was light and crispy, as always. The venue was really busy and opted for takeaway as there was 90 min wait time to sit in. These guys are so busy...that I would hope they can one day expand! 5 star food!More
The fish and chips and salad...I'll be dreaming of this great food memory for the rest of my life! Every bite offered freshness and light.
Such a busy spot Got a take away here at the weekend. The fish n chips were the best we had. The batter light and crispy . Cannot wait to return. The staff were lovely and attentive.
Have eaten here last year but they were completely booked out on the evening we called as their outside area at the back was closed because of the bad weather. As the food was so good last year, we decided to get a takeaway from...them so that we wouldn't have to stop on our long journey back home. We ordered and were told to come back in 30 mins, which we did. When we arrived back, we were told to take a seat outside and we would be called when our order was ready. After 15 mins elapsed, we enquired about our food and it suddenly appeared. We went back to the car to eat it. We ordered two Fish & Chips, Crispy Chilli Cod and a Buffalo Bird (Chicken Burger) and a side portion of Homemade Coleslaw. The Chilli Cod and the Burger were very good. The Coleslaw was really, really good! However, the Fish & Chips were lukewarm and the batter of the fish was soggy and limp. Obviously, the Fish & Chips, which were in a cardboard box, were prepared before the other food and put under a Hot Lamp to keep them warm. IMO, you can't do this to Fish & Chips, as the batter will go limp and soggy after about 7 mins. Not really impressed at all at this price and two people went home hungry.More
It is kind of hard to get a seat, since it’s always full, but it’s worth it. All of us had fish and chips. The employees were very friendly and the place looks alright, nothing fancy but not bad either. The fish was very good...and tasted very fresh. The chips are alright. The sauce that comes with it also tasted nice. It‘s a bit overrated but the fish and chips were very good.More
We had take outs twice this week whilst on holiday. Last year these fish and chips were amazing. However, our first take out were average, alot of scrappy chip ends and the Fish box was inedible, the fish tasted off so that was thrown away....We thought this maybe a one off and tried again at the end of our holiday with 4 x fish and chips, total price 54 Euros. Again, scraggy chip ends and soggy batter around the fish. We were extremely disappointed. The Fish and Chips from the shack on the sea front were far better. So unfortunately, The Fish Box was a huge disappointment. If you want better, goto the shack, it's called Dingle Ahoy! they're a tiny bit cheaper but far better quality.More
Fish was lovely chips were a let down and very disappointed as it was recommended. Think it’s overrated
