Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is inconceivable to me that there are better restaurants in Dingle than this. The food was so good I think I cried at least twice. The bread alone was amazing. Everything was gorgeous… and that’s not a word I throw around lightly. We had...the Dingle lobster, scallops and sea food selection. Phenomenal!!! I apologize if this was inarticulate; I’m still a bit emotional about the whole thing.More

Great food, wonderful staff, really enjoyed our first visit on a Saturday evening. So good we went back a couple of days later, menu changed. Always a good sign.

Our recent dinner at 'Out of the Blue' was excellent. Good choice of dishes and superb presentation and quality. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to chat. All in all, a great evening. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting Dingle.

The menu is a blackboard filled with fresh fish options. It was so fun to try fish we had never had before. The fish and seasoning/sauce were just amazing. The desserts were also delicious. The service was friendly and excellent. They will also even debone...your fish at the table.More

Lives up to the hype; every plate was balanced, creative, delicious and beautiful. Sauces are just beyond the beyond. Had the sautéed shrimp app and the scallop app as an entree size with the pear tart for dessert. After a lot of pub food in...southwest Ireland (which has been good but not great) this meal was a welcome bright light.More

Very very good seafood. My best meal in 2 weeks in Ireland was here! Everything was superb. I'd buy their bouillabaisse by mail if I could - it was the single best dish i had on vacation. It requires reservations and it will fill up....We made our reservations same day though without any problem. My wife just read this over my shoulder and commented - oh good, Yummy! They know what they are doing at OOTB!More

Happy to walk by this place. When the sign said there were no more reservations available for that evening, we immediately went online and snagged a reservation for the next night. We truly lucked out. We had a wonderful server, the selections were plentiful, the...presentation of the food is unique and creative, and all of our meals tasted excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant. It was a lovely experience.More

Advance reservations usually necessary. Essentially, OOTB does two seatings nightly. Even booking two days prior, we had to accept an early 4:30pm seating, but that was OK with us. We were semi-tired travelers and simply made it a 2-meal day. Our server Cliona was such...a good waitress - professional and efficient, but obviously cared that our experience was perfect and even chatted us up a bit when things had quieted down, and for good measure more or less walked us in to the kitchen to meet the chef and pastry chef. These folks are seriously excellent at their craft. We shared a bottle of reasonably priced Viognier; she enjoyed the soup to start and then the scallops while I started with oysters on the half shell followed by the halibut. Macchiatos and a shared combo dessert capped off this feast. Can't recommend OOTB enough. Go!More

Overrated & terrible service. There are better restaurants in Dingle to visit. The main issue was the service- the rudest waitress greeted us, told us that our booking hadn’t been placed (despite me visiting the restaurant to make a booking they told me I had...to request a table online, there is a tedious method of having to enter card details and take a holding deposit which sounds like they have issues with this not working) the said waitress was extremely smug about this and rather than apologising for the issue with the table she seemed to revel in our dilemma. It wasn’t until another waitress intervened and said that there was a spare table for us anyway… so what was the fuss all about? I’ve read some replies from this restaurant to bad reviews and they say that it’s their policy to take bookings online so that the FOH staff can give the customers full attention. Attention is not what we got- we were never asked if everything with our meal was ok, I was never even offered a second drink until I had finished all of our food. Apart from being served food by the waitresses, there was no other attention from them. I can’t complain about the food but in my opinion it’s the whole experience which makes a great meal. This was not a good experience and they really need to look at the customer service skills. There are a so many places in Dingle with fantastic food and a fantastic atmosphere. This is not one of themMore

We recently dined at Out of the Blue in Dingle. What a wonderful experience. My husband is allergic to fish but not shellfish. The hostess noted this allergy when we made our reservation and on the evening when we had our reservation the chef created...a dish just for my husband! How special is that?? I had the tuna ceviche starter and haddock for my entree. Excellent! For dessert we chose the French apple tart and chocolate & orange brownie. The perfect end to our meal. We highly recommend you add this to your list of places to visit in Dingle. Reservations recommended.More

Delicious spot in Dingle for the best seafood dinner! Terrific atmosphere and wonderful service. Halibut and hake were delicious. And I really appreciate chef making scrumptious mango panna cotta so I could have a nut free dessert. Thank you OOTB for a special experience and...keep up the amazing work! PS make sure you get reservations!More

Would I have licked the food off the floor had I dropped it? YES! Luckily, I didn't drop anything. We stumbled on this GEM of a restaurant (many years with Michelin ratings) and they generously seated us without a reservation. The menu is handwritten on...a chalkboard and brought to each table as it is seated. FRESH, FRESH food! The preparations were heavenly and beautifully plated. The wine pairings are sublime! The ENTIRE staff was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. I told every traveler I encountered on the Dingle Peninsula that this place is a MUST. If you plan to go, definitely make reservations; we were fortunate they had one lone table available.More
