Called today with the family. Ordered coffees and scones and salmon with salad at lunchtime. Nearly passed out to find coffee is €4.35, scones €3.95 and and tiny salmon was €18. I have never paid those prices even in 5 star hotels. Cannot believe how...they can justify those ripoff prices. No wonder Ring of Kerry coaches were bypassing the cafe. Rip off Ireland is living happily in Avon, Molls Gap. Won’t be caught again. Avoid, avoid, avoid.More

The mens toilet on 31jul 22 were disgraceful. At approximately 2pm the smell og urine was gross. This was disgraceful and the management should hold their head in shame. Stopped in Avoca in Molls Gap for lunch recently, enjoyed a lovely lunch while admiring wonderful views. Ciara was working in the Cafe and offered suggestions on our lunch options, her friendly nature helped to make it such an enjoyable experience. We also stopped to...purchase some cakes and again met with a lovely young man who was friendly and personable.More

The views from the area are fabulous. We arrived late in the day in early April, and according to the internet the Cafe wasn't due to reopen until the following Friday. We were happy enough to go and have a browse in the shop. The...shop is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We were delighted to see they have a little food market section, where we purchased pear and almond scones to take away. There was a couple of tables downstairs but as they were closing soon, we said we'd just take them with us. The girls serving were very helpful and bubbly. We were able to get butter and cutlery to take with us, and they offered us jam as well but we declined. They were pricey, but you expect that from Avoca, and they were well worth the price. We both agreed that they were probably the best scones we ever had. It's a great place to stop off when doing the Ring, or even just if you're having a wander in the National Park. We look forward to returning to visit the Cafe, and to see the wonderful views from upstairs.More

The restaurant is. It been at all managed during these times of social distance. The queue to get food was shoulder to shoulder and then actual service from behind the counter was incredibly slow which contributed to this. When we arrived there was only one...couple in front of us to be served and no one behind us. It took 10 minutes before we were served by which time the queue was long and crowded. It took so long for them to put the food on the tray so we could take a seat that we had to ask them to reheat the food twice!!!! This place is attractive from the outside but unless they change the way it’s managed give it a wide birth! We felt very uncomfortable and the staff didn’t appreciate being asked to reheat food that had gone cold because of their inadequacies!! Enjoy the view from its location but don’t eat here.More

We visited Avoca Mol's gap this Summer. As much as I love Avoca shops and especially their cafes, the visit at Avoca Mol's Gap was a nightmare. As we were not fully vaccinated at that time yet, we had to eat outside the shop and...I must say the seating area was really poor with no protection against rain what's so ever. The staff very arrogant and abrupt. Very limited choice on the take away meals and what was there was just overpriced. I picked chicken for my children and asked for mash or rice to go with it. I just got a very abrupt answer that they don't have any. Then I noticed cooked rice in their fridge and asked if they could reheat it for me. The answer was no.... I wanted to leave at this point but my children were hungry. So we ended up eating outside under the rain, my children eating only plain chicken.... Worst experience ever, we won't be backMore

Visited Avoca Molls Gap today to get some of their baked goods to take on a visit to a friend. Firstly, they could not accept card due to the internet being down apparently. The cost of the cakes has shot through the roof…..8.50 now for...four small biscuits….If I recall correctly it was 6.50 pre pandemic but not sure how the pandemic has caused this astronomical inflation!! Very haphazard queuing system if you want to buy a few take away packaged cakes and maybe a coffee you have to queue behind others waiting for their sausages/quiches to be heated, ordering food etc resulting in a big long wait. The staff, two young me behind the counter were extremely pleasant and nice so cannot fault them but Avoca themselves are really above their station with their pricing so I won’t be back in a hurry.More

I absolutely loved it here, the scenery, the shop with its beautiful clothing, home ware, food and blankets, but most of all having lunch with the stunning scenery out of the large windows. Cosy inside with great choices for lunch. We had a chickpea pastry roll...with two salads, it was really good. The cakes looked amazing but unfortunately I didn’t have room for any. I couldn’t recommend a visit more highly. I guess it could be busy on a weekend or when the weather is good. We went on a soggy week day but I am so glad we passed by and decided to stop rather than waiting till will hit the town. You must go!More

Never really looked at it from a disabled point of view, but I think you would have difficulty accessing the cafe as there is a significant flight of stairs. I don't know if there is any accessibility aids
