Fabulous Seafood Chowder

We went to Cons with high expectations for their chowder and fish and chips (based on what we had read in other reviews). The fish and chips were good, not exceptional, but good. The seafood chowder was fabulous. Chock-full of fish and seasoned so nicely...(I would go back again if I could have). It is a short drive out of Kenmare (or bike ride) and if the weather is nice you can sit on their deck and enjoy the views of the Kenmare River. They close at 5, so we went for a late lunch/early dinner (at 4). Strongly recommend.More

Almost drove by but we were hungry.

The food was surprisingly great. I had the warm goat cheese salad with a honey on it and the seafood chowder.

Large cheap and cheerfull spot

stopped by for lunch, chowder was surprising excellent aswell as Childs pasta. the room itself needs a good updating and i have to say the worst covid regulations observed - none whatsoever. they do a roaring trade - their standards should reflect this

Great food and great choice.

Great food and great choice. Staff were helpful and mindful of Covid19 restrictions. Not my first time but won’t be my last.

Closed! - with no notice

Having previously had some great salmon at Con's in years gone by we made the effort on Thurs. 27th September to drive out to Con's one evening - all shut up! No sign of anyone, no notice either at the restaurant or on line. Don't...waste your time and fuel going out there, there were gates across the activity centre and restaurant entrance so not sure if it is closed for the winter now.More

Best fish and chips we’ve had in Ireland!

My husband had fish and chips 4 times since we’ve been in Ireland and they were all fantastic but Con’s by far was the best. Lovely breading fresh fresh fish and a portion to satisfy any hungry man! Stunning views. Service was super friendly and...accommodating our every request...fast! I wish I had a pic but it’s all gone!More

Lovely view from the gallery and very good food for reasonable prices. Seafood chowder was particularly good.

Con's restaurant excellence

Excellent food. Pan fried hake the best in Ireland in my opinion. Service so good humoured and helpful. View fantastic. Price very reasonable.

Better than most seafood places in Kenmare

The best bit of fish we've had since we arrived in Kenmare. The fish is extremely fresh and very well presented. Portions great and setting lovely. We ate in a well known fish takeaway in Kenmare last night and it was nothing compared to this...place. Worth a visit.More
