Ideal spot for casual pub dining in Kenmare. Very generous portions, and good value for money. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Good selection of beers on draft too. There are fancier places to dine in the town but if you want the basics done...right and an enjoyable evening, look no further!More
We went here for some quality pub food and were not disappointed. On the contrary; the steak sandwich was delicious.
Very friendly staff who let me try some on-tap beers before buying.
We will go here again this week and try fish-and-chips and chicken wings.
Bar man not wearing mask, or wearing it under nose, no covid vaccine check even when prompted by customers, no details taken for contact tracing even when prompted by customer (two staff asked) customers not wearing masks, staff not wearing masks, bar service provided.
Very disappointing, while other publicans work to maintain high standards, others destroy confidence in hospitality services.
Food was tasty but will not be returningMore
I was served a miserable portion of fish and chips. A plate of cheap skinny fries and a miserly bit of fish. My wife’s mash was so over microwaved that it burnt her mouth. This is a place best avoided as there are better options...around.More
Mccarthys is a little gem, staff so nice, had couple of drinks and a starter in a fab beer garden, served by a young gentleman, who went out of his way to get what we wanted to watch on the TV! Had the bruchetta and...potato cake done with steak stips and pepper sauce. To say it was to die for is an understatement, it was mouth watering! Will be back in the spring pg.More
