The specials menu outside looked great so we went in to eat. We both had the venison haunch from the specials menu (€30). We asked for it as rare as the chef would do it. It was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The red...cabbage, roasted broccoli, colcannon, cauliflower cheese and parsnips that accompanied it were all really excellent too. The staff were lovely, making us feel very welcome. Best meal we’ve had for a long time.More

What a meal!! We were a small group of hungry cyclists and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The monkfish was divine and I would return to Kenmare for the triple choc cheesecake alone!! Great night, excellent adherence to Covid guidelines and very friendly but professional...staff. Will definitely return.More

We set out to go for lunch here after a quick trip advisor search. We entered a very empty premises and to be honest thought we were in the wrong place and nearly turned around. We didn't and glad we didn't. Very tasty honest food....The bread served with the chowder I would have bought it and brought it home it was delicious. (Brown bread treacle walnuts) The chowder was delicious. Would return.More

The only place that welcomed us with kindness. The girl and the guy who served us were very kind and always smiling. We ate and drank very well and the price is average. I would go there again.

As locals we are familiar with this premises and have enjoyed many occasions there under previous managements. Before going this time we checked the reviews and we found the actual experience bore no relationship at all to the positive reviews. We found the food mediocre...at best. The service was poor and to cap it all, it being COVID times, when I ordered a final drink and the bill with 35 minutes left on my allowed time, I was told this was definitely my last. Obviously I was well conscious of that already. When we left there was no farewell greeting which is extremely unusual in our town and we did not have any dispute with anyone. This is not one to recommend. It is not typical of KenmareMore

Booked in advance earlier in the day. Lovely food. I opted for 2 starters - prawns and fish cake. My husband opted for the venison sausage special which he thought was great. Really enjoyed out meal.
