We spent a night in Kenmare, i didn't research any restaurant but stumbled across this while walking up the street. It was about 7.30 on a Saturday evening and i had no booking, the place was buzzing, i was sure we wouldn't get a table....The staff were very friendly and offered us to sit at the bar, which we agreed as it looked good and it was packed. We didn't make a wrong choice. To start we shared the pate, for mains we both decided on the rib eye steak. The steak was cooked to perfection, the nicest steak i ever had. We washed it down we a few nice glass of sauvignon blanc & himself had the Guinness. We finished off with a couple of Pornstar Martinis (again one of the best I've had) All in all between the food and the service, this gets a 10 out of 10 for me. It's a must visit if you are in Kenmare.More

We asked staff in a local large drapery where would they recommend to have an evening meal . Head to Mulcahy's. We were not disappointed. Lovely and lively atmosphere.Full on a Tuesday evening. Wide availability from Chefs choice to a la carte. Great wine and...cocktail list. Staff efficient and very friendly. Would recommend.More

Myself and my partner visited Mulcahy’s for a 9pm sitting. On arrival we both commented on the buzzing atmosphere and efficiency of staff. This didn’t falter throughout the evening as the service was seamless. There was a wonderful menu selection to choose from. My partner...can be fussy when choosing dinner options but there was something for everyone. Starters and mains were cooked to perfection which was accompanied by a beautiful Italian bottle of red. Overall a lovely Saturday night experience, definitely worth a visit when in Kenmare.More

What a fabulous dining experience. We were booked in for 9pm and what amazing atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. I chose the scampi for starter and rib eye steak for mains both excellent. Bake Alaska dessert was delicious. Mulcahy’s is a must...visit when in Kenmare, it won’t disappoint.More

We looked at Mulchays as we went by during the day and to be honest we thought it looked a little grim on the outside which put us off the idea of eating there but then we checked it out on TripAdvisor and saw the...pictures and reviews. We booked and I'm so glad. We had the most amazing dining experience. The food was out of this world and the servers were incredibly efficient and very pleasant too. Expensive ....yes a little but worth it ....definitely. Would I recommend it ....absolutely. Would we return....in a heartbeat. Thank you to all who work there and those amazing chefs behind the scenes.More

Food was ok. Nice - ordered chips with steak (€4.50 extra) had to ask for it again. Arrived when steak was gone. Had to go up to service area to ask for a fork as plates were cleared. Waiting ages too for dessert. Waitresses were...very pleasant but the organisation by restaurant was very poor. Different waitresses so we got a sub standard service, late food and overall a disjointed experience. Would not return. To be fair, I think it was one of the first nights open for the season but still I can only submit a review based on my experience of that meal which was poor. The service did not match the prices. Would not return.More

Beautiful food &, great service. Not so suitable for kids/teens. It’s a restaurant not a bar just in case you’re planning on having a few sociables after dinner!!

We had a similar experience to the previous reviewer. While the food was good (hats off to the chef on that) the service was just appalling. I Understand in covid times that there is difficulty getting good staff but the staff here were just plain...rude. The manner in which they spoke to people was really surprising for such a place. I was taken aback by the staff here. There also seemed no Organisation to them. While the food was great the overall experience was v disappointing and I wouldn’t come back.More
