Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Throughout lockdown we were regulars here. The food was great, the service was sharp and the prices were very reasonable. But we have stopped going as we notice a sharp deteriation in the quality of the food. Burned and bland are the main complaints. Its...a pity as this was once a great place to eat.More

Our meal in eabha Jones left a lot to be desired. All kitchen staff (4 that I saw) in an open kitchen with no mask to be seen. Serving staff whipping masks on and off as they felt. The restaurant itself was quite cold so...we dined with our jackets on, not a very comfortable experience. 30 minute wait for our starters and while everything was hot it was also bland. My main (steak)was overcooked and very chewy. We ordered coffees and after 20 minutes we asked about them to a waitress who looked at us like we had 10 heads and rolled her eyes. Personally I felt the whole experience was disappointing. Staff were rude and more interested in finishing up and going home then the diners. We weren’t asked once how everything was and to get the attention of any wait staff for as much as a jug of water was a 10 minute ordeal. Won’t be back and won’t be recommendingMore

I dont usually review any visits to restaurants but Four of us dined here on Saturday night , we all had three course meals from across the large menu, and we all agreed that every dish looked and tasted fantastic. Our servers were really up...to speed and their attention to detail and their rapport was a credit to the team. Today we went out of our way to revisit and enjoy the Sunday dinner menu, and again we were hugely impressed with the options and quality of the dishes. We had the 2 course options and there wasn't one negative comment from any of our group. We all felt that Eabha Joans deserved thanks for what they are doing. Its definitly worth a visit when in this part of Kerry.More

Eabha Jones is absolutely lovely my favourites are the carbonara and chicken Milanese. This restaurant has become one of the most popular covid take away restaurants in our town because the food is fabulous but what’s even better is the reasonable prices. The staff are...all so friendly and always so welcoming.More

I got 2 sausage and mash dinners and the mash was cold and the sausages tasted funny like they were Fried on a very high heat and only cooked on the outside and not cooked in the middle there we still Raw in the middle!!...and they charged us €19.95 just for 2 dinners of mash and sausages and we didn’t even get drinks or dessert. It was a rip of for a spoon of mash and 2 sausages. Will not be recommending to any1 to go here as food is served cold and raw!!More

I've eaten here 3 times the last few weeks and each time I've left excited for my next visit. Chicken wings are the nicest I've had in a long time. Staff are top notch and very welcoming. Menu always has a large selection of both...appetisers and main courses. Keep up the good workMore

the standards have seriously declined. The staff are pleasant, but not very experienced. The place is grubby, and the floor is very greasy. The taps in the Ladies toilet downstairs sprays water like a garden sprinkler. The lighting is poor. The food is really hit and miss.

What a delight to dine at this restaurant..... welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. But, the spot light has to be on the food, from start to finish superb. The starter of... scallop, smoked salmon and tempura prawns was perfectly executed.... would have been more than happy...to order as a main course.... maybe next time. Our rib-eye stakes, we're cooked exactly as ordered.... happy day and were delicious, highly recommend. I can't wait to visit listowel again, if only to eat at this restaurant.More

Called in with family for a snack but was seduced by the suggestion of roast beef. What an excellent thought , the beef was cooked perfectly and plenty of it , fresh vegetables and gravy on the side and a beetroot relish , yes beetroot,...sounds funny but went with the beef perfectly. Staff were helpful and efficient. The furniture looks a little tired but we don’t eat the furniture !!!!! We will definitely visit againMore
