We have been to Sails on Lavender Bay for many occasions and have never been disappointed - yesterday's lunch was no different. We booked our table for 4 at 12.00pm for Saturday lunch and as always were greeted by welcoming staff. Our table faced the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Luna Park. In fact, there isn't a bad seat in... More

Wow.... What a view. The harbour bridge looms large and Luna Park sparkles in all its glory, setting the scene for something special. Parking is awful in this area but the $10 valet parking is the best $10 I've ever spent. The hostess provided a warm welcome and is acutely aware that people are here for the view, asking if... It was a set menu, but the staff were attentive and the iconic view is hard to pass up. Would like to go back and try a proper a la carte sometime....

This is a very handsome restaurant and the view from it is indeed spectacular. Our experience there, however, was rather disappointing. Our waiter was charming and informative, but our food and drink took a long time to arrive. The food was good but very expensive and my friend found her risotto unpleasant and soupy. But the worst thing was that... More

Excellent fine dining on the bay, best way to arrive is by ferry as the stop is next to the restaurant. Good place for business dinners.

We were a business group of 5 gentlemen (one from Madrid, Spain, one from the Birmingham, UK & two from Singapore) & two ladies (including myself). Every single one of us sailed away in Lavender Bay on Tuesday night (8th November, 2016) on a delicious kind of boat. The starter most of us enjoyed was a divine Snow crab avocado,... More

The waters edge location, with stunning views of the bridge and opera house from the panoramic windows is impressive. The welcome was excellent and the food was creative and cooked to perfection. This is a special occasion restaurant. It is expensive, but overall provides reasonable value. Service was relaxed, professional and, in the main, attentive. Overall not quite 5* in... More

So..you want to take the family out for a special celebration lunch? 8 or 10 people in the group? Kids included? This works well. But be prepared to pay! Nestled into the scintillating Harbour foreshore is 'Sails', a 'splendid' (7 year old's judgment) restaurant where the kids will get fancy pink lemonade and watch, mesmerised, as the waiter sails by... Accomodating to my dietary needs. Being Gf and DF is often difficult! Got given GF bread to begin! What a treat! Unfortunately no GF vodka. So had to settle for a rum based cocktail. Which was delish! Make sure you book in advance. We had a good table- but not the front. Meals were lovely! I had entee scallops and... More

We obtained a discount thru dimmi for a lunch. What a fantastic view and wow the food so delicate so tasty. A great afternoon spent gazing into the beautiful blue vista that SYDNEY harbour is famous for. Harbour bridge, opera house a few lazy ferries excellent backdrop. The service matched this amazing scene relaxed friendly and inviting yet classy.
