Wally's is an institution for those in the know. A Full English fry up with plenty of tea and toast thrown in. Great way to set you up for the day!

This is an excellent cafe. Warm and comfortable inside with a wide range of hot food on the menu. Friendly welcome and obviously used to the ravenous cyclist arriving in need of large quantities of hot food and decent coffee/tea. Not easy to find as somewhat hidden on industrial estate BT worth the effort. Everything I have had here on... More

We visited this cafe on a Sunday All the wooden tables were laid with mats and cutlery and every jam/marmalade you could think of We ordered four cooked breakfasts which arrived promptly with big mugs of tea and coffee and toast on the side. The Staff were all friendly and told us we could help ourselves to jam/marmalade off another... More

Today I had an excellent beefy cottage pie followed by perfect home-made crumble atop home-grown rhubarb. Jane and Matt were friendly and helpful; they made me feel as welcome as their other customers who all seemed to be old friends.

We have been visiting Wally's Shed since it opened in the late 90's. The value for money and the warm welcome has never altered over the years. It's a wonderful little cafe, just right for cyclists, bikers and tourists. A real English cafe - a true treasure!!

We love Wallys. It doesn't need updating it would spoil it. Jane's cooking is fabulous and Matt is great. Last year a group of us had a Christmas lunch. It was so good we've booked again for this year. We often pop in when passing and regularly meet friends there. Can't wait to go again.

Wally's Shed is a remarkable survival from the mid twentieth century offering large home-cooked meals in cheerfully shabby clean bright surroundings. We went for a full English breakfast at just a fiver a head. The ingredients were of better quality than the price would suggest. Indeed, the food was delicious. And the service was engaged and friendly. The wildly eclectic... More

The Full English is not to be missed. I am a little reluctant to review this Cafe, as it's quality and prices are a well kept local secret, but they do deserve the praise. It's a little off the beaten track, but worth putting into your sat-nav and seeking it out.
