Changed hands about a year ago. Lovely historic building, some parts renovated & others still being worked on. We were welcomed by the owner & talked about the two water wheels etc. We dined upstairs, only about 3-4 tables occupied. There was no menu online so we took several minutes to decide. Several portions of asparagus were ordered & a... More

We popped in Good Friday lunchtime and were surprised to find it almost empty. We had not been there since new owners bought it Jan 2016 so ordered with some trepidation. You know what they say about empty restaurants on a busy day. But we were very pleasantly surprised. Really cant understand why it wasnt full to bursting. Very generous... More

Very surprised to see a review saying that Heskyn Mill is expensive, as I would have paid double!!! We all had a delicious 3 course meal, all good sized portions, the steak was cooked to perfection as I find some places find medium rare a challenge, but not here, hats off to the chef and the friendly owner, we had... Went as a group of friends for an evening meal. Disappointed in the fact the the food and service did not justify the price charged. It is an expensive and limited menu. Starter average £8-£9, Haddock and Chips £14.95. All very fine having a lovely setting, building and good chef - but if charging these prices, please supply the complete... More

Beautiful setting in historic Mill building. Not a million menu choices but excellent selection nonetheless. Well worth turning off A38 and only a few metres off if you turn at St Germans. Friendly professional service and piping hot delicious food. We will certainly re visit.

I never knew this place existed until I was searching for somewhere to meet for lunch. This is a beautifully restored building inside with a good solid menu. Our party covered everything from meat eater, fish eater to vegetarian, we were all very pleased with our meals. The individual vegetable accompaniments were a tasty mixture of heritage style delights. I... More

We had Sunday lunch at Heskyn Mill and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was cooked very well and the service was very friendly. The only fault was that the new potatoes were unpeeled. Some of the tables are up-stairs so if you have mobility problems then mention it when booking.

Called in on chance on our way to Truro. Managed to get a table for two in the corner as we were short of time we had a mid week roast. Didn`t need to eat again that day. Going back next week. Can`t wait.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. White wine arrived with no wine cooler, just placed on table. Three of the four main meals were just warm enough to eat, not hot. Having said that the food was lovely and good size portions. It's a very interesting place to visit due to the original fixtures which are still in place.
